Hello ladies and gents.
Today I went for a drive with my friend and was able to take some pictures from my home town of Veliko Turnovo and some of the surrounding areas.
This journey takes place in Bulgaria.
As we say here - we love the country but hate the government. :)
The vehicle is a Fiat Spyder Abarth. (sorry i dont have more photos)
A nifty little creature with a heart of a lion.
I am Boyan your host for this trip and im a rookie photographer. Im hooked on moving around and taking pictures whenever i can. Got my Sony a6400 about a month ago. No idea whats going on still, i just click different things and i watch some tutorials.
This is a great Lookout Point on the rooftop of a building in my town - where you can see almost everything. No sun today tho.
Even a cat down below :)
This is the Theater, old socialist structures still make up the majority of buildings.
The Tsarevets fortress. The pinnacle of the 2nd Bulgarian kingdom when my now small town was its Capitol. More stories when i show you the entire thing.
Another panoramic attempt with my other lens.
Next stop was the Peter and Pavel Monastery
Some Bulgarian rebellion history over here, if interest arises i can translate it roughly.
This is the road of the 2nd Rebellion from the previous picture. Captain "Grandfather Nikola" lead it.
A sign saying:
"This was the location of the temple of St St Peter and Pavel. Build along side with the monks and the Bulgarian Kings Peter and Asen during the 12 century. Also destroyed entirely by the earthquake in 1913. For its existence we are notified by several items and details."
A memorial plate of "Grandfather Nikola" and his 13 rebels written in the bottom. Later the same year, 15 of June 1862 a rebellion of 70 people from the surrounding villages is launched against the Turks.
Moving right outside there is a tourist route that leads to some amazing places.
Thank you for sticking till the end.
I hope you enjoyed this small piece of Bulgarian History, architecture and nature.
