What I learned was that the mascot of Thai confectionery brand Butter Bear became popular in China and Korea. At least, they write this on thehaiger.com. And that's why this attention.
Yesterday, I came to EmSphere shopping mall just to have a walk with the photo camera.
Then, I noticed a long line of people who wanted to take a picture with the mascot. I had no idea what was happening but I liked the vibes.
I couldn't miss that photo opportunity.
And joined the crowd to photograph the event.
Many girls looked like models.
Many of them also looked like foreign Asians: Chinese and Koreans. But there were Thai people there too.
The mascot, by the way, looked lovely and, most importantly, moved very smoothly and gracefully so I fell in love a bit too.
There were guys there too.
I felt many people there were short-term travelers from East Asia who came to have a crazy weekend in tropical Bangkok.
One of the girls was so thin and tall, smart- and kind-looking, wearing a hat with the words "Sorry, guys, I date only models". I wanted to ask if I could photograph her but she dissolved in the crowd. Then, I turned back and saw her:
I turned back again and, without hiding, took several shots and then bowed saying thank you. I don't know what this makeup means but she looks an impressive character.
There were other views, not me.
These guys were enjoying the event so sweetly so I couldn't help taking images of them.
But the main star of the event was a girl. She first was upset for some reason. I guessed because she was told she couldn't go to the bear until the line of adults ended. But, at some point, she rushed to the bear and drew all people's attention to her.
That was the sweetest spectacle.
After the girl ended her photo shoot and left the bear, she jumped and waved with her hands saying with the gesture: "YES, I DID IT!!!"
