Today I want to share with you some photographs I took of this beautiful flower called African Iris, which I found in a random garden walking through the city.

Photographing this flower for me was a real pleasure, as it offers a number of positives that make capturing its essence quite an amazing experience.

The blurring in the photography of this flower allowed me to highlight its delicacy and subtlety. By blurring the background, I was able to achieve a soft, ethereal effect in some of the shots that enhances the beauty of the petals and the central yellow markings. This creates a dreamy and magical feeling in the image, attracting the attention of the viewer.
This plant is a species of the African lily family that captivates with its elegance and fragrance. Native to Ethiopia to southern Africa, this plant stands out a lot for its sarmentous stems and beautiful white flowers with yellow markings.
Their preferred habitat is under large, open trees where they can be in semi-shade without as much sun in the day, that's where they can unfold their full glory and attract important pollinators.
If you are looking for a plant that combines beauty and resistance, Iris africana is an ideal choice, not only for photography but to have it on your terrace giving it beauty.
