Avisala!
It's one of those places that I wished I could have stayed longer and explored more. After staying for one night in Bangkok, we went to Pattaya to visit Nong Nooch Botanical Gardens and interact with the elephants at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. As our time in Pattaya is limited, we only have those two major activities on our itinerary. We stayed along Jomtien Road for just one night, and we only had that night to explore the area.
After settling at our hotel, we decided to look for something to eat. However, the area where we stayed has fewer restaurants. It's more of massage parlors, bars, and weed dispensaries. I have always wanted to try weed at least once, and it could have been an opportunity since weed is now legal in Thailand, but for some reason, we were not able to try it. Even if the streets were lined with stalls and smoking areas, we didn't bother trying. I guess who you're with really matters.
As we were looking for food, we ended up in Jomtien Beach. There were only a few people at the beach since it was on a Tuesday night. I have to say that in terms of sand quality, the beaches here in the Philippines are unmatched. However, what they have are infrastructures that are catered to tourists which is lacking here. We just walked along the beach until we got tired and hungry that we should eat.
I only have five photos that night. We ended up ordering some bugs to eat, but my friends didn't even bother to eat after they saw up close the grasshoppers and crickets.
I'll probably be back someday to explore more.
