Se trata de un lugar o sitio de alto significado histórico y sentimental, sobre todo, para los cubanos que, en su paso por la vida, han experimentado y demostrado un especial interés a sus raíces.

👉 Me Me refiero al "Parque de la Revolución", del poblado de Baire, inaugurado en el año 1919...

BAIRE está ubicado en el centro geográfico de la región oriental de Cuba y pertenece, actualmente, al municipio Contramaestre, provincia de Santiago de Cuba.

Fue inaugurado en el año: 1919 y bautizado como: "Parque de la Revolución", por el insigne patriota Saturnino Lora Torres: (General de División), quien en, 1895, al llamado de José Martí, estuvo al frente de los preparativos del movimiento insurreccional que protagonizó el "GRITO DE BAIRE". Lo acompañaron otros importantes patriotas de entonces, como fue el caso del General Enrique Loynaz del Castillo, padre de la ilustre poetiza cubana Dulce Maria Loynaz Muñoz.

Fue aquí, en este lugar, entonces llamado "Plaza de Rojos Flamboyanes", que Lora, aquel glorioso 24 de febrero, expresó las bellas palabras que convocaban a la lucha armada y que, luego, trascendido como: "GRITO DE BAIRE"

Baire is located in the geographic center of the eastern region of Cuba and currently belongs to the municipality of Contramaestre, province of Santiago de Cuba.

It was inaugurated in 1919 and named "Revolution Park" by the distinguished patriot Saturnino Lora Torres (Major General), who in 1895, at the call of José Martí, led the preparations for the insurrectionary movement that led to the "GRITO DE BAIRE." He was accompanied by other important patriots of the time, such as General Enrique Loynaz del Castillo, father of the illustrious Cuban poet Dulce Maria Loynaz Muñoz.

It was here, in this place, then called "Plaza de Rojos Flamboyanes," that Lora, on that glorious February 24th, expressed the beautiful words calling for armed struggle, which later became known as: "GRITO DE BAIRE" (SHOUT OF BAIRE).
