So they did it again. Team USA lost their opening match today against France by a score of 83-76.
I did not actually watch the game today because the early start time of the game did not match up well with my late night yesterday, but when I woke up I can't say I was really even shocked.
Just from looking at the score breakdown, I can tell that they must have come out incredibly flat in the second half as a team of the world's best scorers only managed to put 11 points up on the board in the third quarter.
I am less than positive on the chances of the team in the future of the this tournament, but would love to be proven wrong. They will absolutely need to win their next two games to have a chance to get out of the group and onto the knockout rounds.
