A hug to all the lovely people of Hive and Rising Star. It's so nice to be back. A few days ago, I showed you what was my first drawing here. I did it using one of the game cards as a guide. That was also my first post in the community, and I was very happy with the welcome you received. That's why I decided to come back today so you can see a new one I've made. Like last time, I colored it by hand and painted with colored pencils. Among the tools I used for the drawing were: a ruler, colored pencils, a regular pencil, and a black marker for the final highlighting.
The card I drew is i155 Keys. Similar to the last instrument I painted, this one is also common in the country. It's very common to see it at many social events here, so when I saw it, I knew it would be the right one for today's drawing. Before showing you how I drew it, I'd like you to see how it turned out when it was finished, and then I'll show you how I did it.
Since it's more complicated to write the title of the letter on top of the pencil color, I started with the first one. When I wrote it, I took a ruler I have and drew the lines you can see in the photos. These lines are used to create the letter, that is, its outer outline.
I then continued with the inside of the card. Once I had that ready, I made the keys and added the circle with the clover logo that represents 1 for luck.
Once that part was finished, I started working on filling in each section with color and coloring the body of the letter. I used a blue pencil on the edges, and a slightly lighter one for the area where the square would go with the funny and interesting words Rising Star always leaves. In this case, I won't be doing the square, but I plan to do so someday in the future.
As you can see, we've made quite a bit of progress on the drawing, but I couldn't continue without first highlighting the parts I've already colored. This way, you can better appreciate the lines of the letter's body, and the colors don't clash. The result of the highlighting is this.
I just need to color the wires. I used a light brown around them and then a darker brown to paint them. And that's how they turned out. I also finished the process by adding a black marker highlight around the keys.
I'm saying goodbye with a hug just as I arrived. But I'm leaving for today, happy to be here. And of course, I'll be back this week with a new hand-colored drawing. ❤️
