Hello readers,
many users starts crafting music instruments to mint new a card because they think they can mint a new card by completing 4 missions. but its not like that you need 4 components to mint 1 card and each mission give you 1 component.
to start a mission you need 1000 starbits. it looks you need only 4000 startbits to complete 4 and you will get 4 components but its wrong by completing each mission you would 1 random component.
let's suppose you completed 4 missions and got 2 drum bodies 1 stand and 1 rim so with these components you can't mint a music instrument card because cymbals are missing.
or you got 1 drum body 1 cymbals and 2 stands now the rims are missing.
so can't get all 4 components in a row you should keep playing mission until getting all 4 components to mint a card.
you can read these 2 post to get best idea you about crafting.

Rising Star Game: the crafting tale of an average player.
So let's talk about heading I think purchasing is best for if you are a new or average player and not earn much starbits to spend for crafting
you can buy cards from the market in the cheap price than crafting cost and more advantage is that you will card instantly when buy from the market and for crafting you need time to find right components.
regular cards work same as crafting cards work but the only reason to have some crafted card is to stay top of leaders board.
unique cards can help you get some hive reward but it's not easy for new user to reach this level.
big players holds a large number of unique cards in their inventory they need unique cards to stay at top
every 1st card in your collection is unique even its common card
let's suppose if you have 5 busker cards so they will count a one 1 unique and f you have 10 fabie rare cards they also will be count as 1 unique card.
so purchasing is better choice for if earn less starbits
crafting is not bad if you have much starbits to spend craft some v1 cards
I hope now understand the purchasing better for you if you're a new or average player
