Out of nowhere today, massive holes and tears in several leaves of 1 of my 7 plants!
No sign of any critters, but I assume that's what happened. These plants were flawless yesterday, and now one of them (just one) has several leaves with bits missing!
Has anyone seen damage like that before? I think the shriveled up parts are pieces of the leaf that were cut off from the water supply, and not damage via infection or nutrient deficiency.
I've snipped off the damaged parts, leaving a smaller and less-happy Mango Kush seedling. I'm going to check regularly for any insects (although none at all have been seen inside recently except a couple house flies). I really want to know what did this.... and I really don't want it happening any more!
Any advice would be appreciated. Or just a shoulder to cry on... it's not easy seeing your hard work get macerated when you turn your back for a moment.
At least the garden is doing okay overall:
Grow in peace.
