Hello Everyone,
Today I'm sharing photos from the flowering tent.
I have three cannabis plants in seven gallon fabric pots. Two of them with the ropes are Big Mac Superstar clones, and there is one plant from seed that was a cross breed from Big Mac Superstar and Miracle Mack.
I have clone lines running of these two different plants and am unsure if I will keep both lines running. I am also unsure of which one I will phase out. The reason for this is because I'm trying to work out a perpetual grow system where I'm getting one harvest every month. This is difficult to do while working within constrictive legislations.
I've been feeding the plants a powder based product called Flower Fuel. This stuff is pretty powerful and if the correct amount is fed to the plants it makes a big difference in the final product. It helps the buds swell and produce heavy terpenes. It's a good practice to give the plants only water in the last one to two weeks of flowering. I have to look at my notes soon and refer to flowering dates to determine when the feeding stops.
I took a photo of the branch systems and also captured a batch of macros where I super cropped. This is a high stress method of literal crushing of the branch system as it grows. I don't have much experience doing this but I feel I've quickly figured it out and am effective at it. I hope to get better at it, but I have learned that doing this during vegetative state produces these results in flowering, and should help nutrients travel up through the branches easier. I've never tried super cropping in flowering stage and am not sure if it's recommended, but I feel it's not necessary to employ.
I put some 3D printed spacers in the branches to spread everything out for better light penetration.
Since I have extra space in this tent and a two hundred and fifty watt light panel on pulleys, I decided to drop one side down for extra light intensity on the currently exploding buds. The overhead panel is six hundred watts, but this smaller panel puts out a type of light that somehow exceeds the brightness of the more powerful panel, at least to my eyes. It certainly doesn't produce results like the superior light by itself, but I know what I have just done will aid tremendously in the current production.
It's a little tough to take macros in the tent with the plants anchored in place because there isn't much room for me to get comfortable, but fortunately these girls are pretty photogenic and out of 95 macros taken today, I was surprised how many came out good.
That's it for the cannabis update today.
What do you all think of how these plants are looking?
I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!
