Afri-tunes is a rising community that is founded on Hive to nourish and enrich the Hive Musical Family (and the Hive Community at large) with African Tunes and Musical Genres.
It is our sole aim to spread the love, the calmness, the smiles, the culture, the songs and the dance associated with African tunes.
We intend to encourage more content creators to upload quality musical contents using 3speaks and sharing it to enrich the Hive Musical Family.

In encouraging more content creators to upload quality musical contents using 3speaks, we shall adopt the 3speaks platform as our official video platform.

- Afri-tunes event will now be a weekly event, and this will run from 00:00 on Fridays to 23:59 (11:59pm) on Thursdays, using GMT +1 as our time standard.
FRIDAY TO THURSDAY (1 WEEK) ā
NO LONGER
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY (WEEKEND)
- Participants should drop only one entry for each week.
- The post should contain English translation if native language is used (for wider reach of audience).
- If any external material is used in the post, it should be well cited.
- Writing the lyrics of your musical piece will make it easier for your readers to relate well with your piece.
- Participants will be encouraged to use the following tags: #music and the unique tags of #afri-tunes and the special tag of each week #afrwk (plus the week) - #afrwk5.
- ENGAGING WITH OTHER AUTHORS IS IMPORTANT (in other words, commenting on other author's post and responding to their comments on your post).
- A video/written compilation and highlights of all inputs and presentations of each week will be posted the following week.
- 10 - 15 entries will be selected each week from different categories for the compilation.
HIVE ON-BOARDING PLANS
We also intend to use this event to reach out to artists, musicians and dancers who aren't on Hive. We will share our posts outside Hive and invite those who are talented but are not part of Hive. We will spread the word about Hive, and share them our experience of Hive: a WORLD where they will be rewarded for their content, talents, efforts and sacrifices; a world where they can meet like minds and build relationships.
