on your screens yea, giving my entry for AFRITUNES WEEK 161. This week I am covering YOU ARE HOLY BY DUNSIN OYEKAN.
So my reason for the choice of this song is because it's simple but powerful. I usually love songs that have little lyrics but they should portray meaning.
So I want to believe that Dusin OYEKAN travelled to heaven to pen down a song as such because, just from the wordings alone, you will know that, they are not just mere words but confessions of the heart. I can argue anywhere that this song was borne out of deep revelation, if there is a word for experiencial revelation, I would have used it.
God is a spirit and so those who worship him must do so in spirit, John the beloved was caught up in the spirit to give us the whole lot of revelation knowledge about how the throne looks. All the elders,and angels and living creatures had one language, one song, one utterance: you are holy, Lord God Almighty!! At some point they say Holy Holy Holy is the Lord. It's still the same thing. This song pushes me to want more and hungry for more presence.
