This is my response for afri-inleo initiative 7 which focuses on music and love. I decided to title as music and love inseparable. Music has done a lot to my life even though I haven't been a music minister but my flair for music is always amazing. I believe one day I will explore the opportunities and do more.
Music constitutes a combination of lyrics, rhythm, melody and sound. To me music is right from the foundation of the earth. Music begins right from the womb. I could remember when we gave birth to our first child, the kind of songs we have been singing right from when he was in the womb he started falling in love with it as he grew up.
We couldn't separate from what he was used to even now that is growing up.
Every child right from birth is introduced into music. Music is key and fundamental in love. Music can be done directly or indirectly. Music is powerful and has the capability to do a lot in an individual life. There were people that received their healings as a result of music while some people were revitalize at the stage of their hopelessness and destitute. Good music brings transformation and reformation to an individual and collective as people. The relevance of music can't just be overemphasized easily.
Some music are inclined with lyrics whereas some good rhythm while others just the sound. Each of these components have their role they played. Some don't enjoy music without rhythm. All these discrepancy emanates as a result of individual differences and uniqueness factor that the Lord has given unto us. We all respond to sound according to our special abilities.
Love entails feeling, attraction, affection displayed towards something. Love and music are like twins because there are lots of common factors amongst them. There are so many love languages known and also associated to lovers. Every lover or couple are thrilled by a particular pattern of music. A good song arouse or induce a dimension of feelings, emotions which could make one cry, remorse, smile etc amongst individuals or couples.
I have been told of some couples that music solves their major differences and crises in marriage. Whenever one displeased the other, what unites and bonds them together is their love song. The song carries such power that strikes chord in their lives. The love song makes them broken and more open to one another. The love song was like a lubricant that refreshes them. It reminds them of the commitment they made at the altar when they exchanged their marital vows. When one partner is angry, the other signs the love song to quench every dart of evil trying to truncate their marriage.
Love many times are expressed via songs. I have seen and heard from many music artists across Nigeria that dedicate a particular song to the love of their lives. Just imagine how powerful love is such that a complete album is sang and dedicated for this singular reason. This informs me that music and love are interconnected and interrelated. Music and love normally compliment each other therefore it's difficult to clearly differentiate the two how ever the two are very significant in life.
When music is played, it can easily explains the direction and bearing of love to the beholder. Love is sweet just like music is sweet too.
Music inspire more love and love inspires one too to write more songs and music.
