It feels good to publish a post in this community for the first, and I hope that I am welcomed here.🙂
At first, when I saw the contest, I had a song in mind to sing, it was a gospel song titled 'E no dey slumber. However, I lost the motivation to sing the song while I was rehearsing it for the contest. The reason doesn't make sense if you ask me hehe.
Then I decided that I was going to sing one of the suggested songs which is 'Imela by Nathaniel Bassey'. I know this song and it is one of the songs we sing often in my church, but I lost the motivation to sing the song after I realized that I was struggling with the lyrics. I didn't want to record a video of me looking at my computer's screen for lyrics while singing. The whole thing made me feel like I shouldn't record anything again, I got tired even before starting LOL😂.
If you go through one of the recent posts I have published on my blog, you will see where I wrote that in my church, we will be having our concert on the 23rd of this month and I am excited about that day. We will be having our final rehearsal on Saturday and I have not listened to one of the concert songs which is 'Elshaddai Adonai by Nathaniel Bassey'.
After listening to the song this morning, I realized that the lyrics weren't so difficult to score, so I decided to sing it for the Aftri-tune week 32 contest.
Apart from the fact that the lyrics weren't so difficult to score, I also love the message of the song. There are a few technicalities to the song. However, the fact doesn't change that it is a very simple song.
Another thing is, I didn't sing the song exactly how Nathaniel Bassey and the lady he featured sang it, I only sang the chorus and verse. It is a very nice song and I encourage you to go listen to it. Elshaddai Adonai by Nathaniel Bassey.
It's a worship song and I hope that you enjoy listening to me sing the song, thank you. You can find the lyrics of the song below.
[Chorus]
Elshaddai, Adonai
We Worship You
Elshaddai, Adonai
We Worship You
[Verse]
All Sufficient, Almighty God
Sovereign One
Yahweh of Israel
Elshaddai, Adonai
We Worship You
