AFRITUNES WEEK 72: NOBODY BY JOEBOY|FINGERSTYLE VERSION
Hello Guys! Hello Afritunes lovers!
I hope you are all doing great!
Today, I bring you a beautiful old yet new song of Joe Boy, titled, NOBODY!
Joe Boy is a popular Nigerian artist who gained fame recently. His music is mainly Afro-oriented but also incorporates elements of neo-soul. As a result, his songs have received widespread recognition and positive feedback from people all around.
In my opinion, Joe Boy's songs are so catchy and lively that they have the power to lift your spirits and dance away feelings of sadness and negativity.
One remarkable aspect of Joe Boy's song is its incorporation of Afro-rooted sounds, which play a significant role in its infectious appeal.
The rich and rhythmic melodies draw inspiration from the vibrant music traditions of Nigeria and the broader African continent. These Afro rooted sounds infuse the song with an irresistible energy that makes it stand out in the music scene. As a result, it resonates not only with Nigerian audiences but also with music lovers from diverse cultural backgrounds who appreciate the fusion of contemporary beats with the essence of Afro musical heritage.
When creating the acoustic version of one of his songs, I followed a simple process. First, I played the intro melody using normal fingerstyle techniques. Next, I introduced the first verse of the song with a snare sound on the partially muted strings. Finally, to give it that Afro vibe, I used the palm of my hand to create a kick-like sound on the body of my acoustic guitar.
These steps helped me craft a version that captures the essence of the original song while adding a unique acoustic twist to it.
I HOPE YOU FIND IT INTRESTING AND ENJOYABLE!
