Greetings to every one here in the community and Happy sunday to you all, I hope you all have a blessed day ahead. This would be my first time of participating in the #afri-inleo initiative that is been laid down in the afritunes community, its an initiative which i really give kudos to all the brain behind this set up and i commend them all for their great effort in making the community grow well than before. Joining the initiative which is to talk about my favourite musical instrument; as you all know from my hive username you should have been able to know my favourite instrument from there, No other one but the Piano.
One can't just pick an instrument as favourite, there should be a reason, lets go further in the post and see my reason for that.
Initially
I initially started music with playing of drums which is during my primary school days because i was priviledge to be the band leader then and due to the fact that i really know how to play the drum so well and i upgraded to playing of drum set in the church and what really gave me the vibe and urge to start learning the keyboard was due to my secondary oppression because there are some bands in the school then and the way they do categories themselves made me want to learn the keyboard also and be better than them because i remembered the first time i went there to try the keyboard and i was sent away so this really made me determine to learn the piano and do well in it.
THE BEGINNING
When i now decided to go for the learning of the keyboard, i was able to meet someone in my secondary and i enrolled there just with the idea and believe that i will be able to learn it on time and i didnt know that it does not come so easy like that, i never knew the journey is not going to be an easy one and it won't be as smooth as i thought. i started learning the keyboard 2012 even at that i can't call myself a professional now and i used almost two years in learning the piano from my teacher i didnt get the opportunity to learn it fully because my teacher relocated and i was left alone but luckily for me i was able to get my keyboard which really boosted my learning as i will talk more on it as we go.
CHALLENGES FACED DURING LEARNING
After 3 years of not playing without teacher, i have been getting a force to join the choir but i didnt answer so on a good evening there was a program around my area and the keyboardist didnt come ontime so i just decided to go and play not knowing my teacher who is also the choir master in my church was in the program so after that day he forced me into the choir and that was then i started playing in the church even with the fact i never knew how to play well but from there i met my fellow keyboard player that started giving me ginger and ideas on how to go about on the keyboard and become a better player, sometimes when i played keyboard in the church i am always sent away rom playing during church service because i was not a good plaer then but those things really gave me morale not to give up and do better to suprise them when next they see me.
THE BOOST
I gained admission 2019 and i joined the celestial church fully student parish to be precised and i met this keyboadist who is already at his final year but even with that the few time i spent with him i was able to change my mentality to how i played the keyboard as i generally knew how to play the classical in a very unique style and now it was covid period during 2020 and i was able to have a great session with the keyboardist online for a period of 8months which gave my playing a great boost and that was when i had turn around in the way i play the keyboard, it was really amazing as i was now enjoying playing the keyboard more than before.
DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES
I was able to meet different great people in the music line through the help of keyboard which i was playing even travelling from one place to another through keyboard, coming to #hive i have met a lot of great musicians and more morale which made my playing on the keyboard so nice, playing different cover of song as music entry really also help. keyboard is really a great instrument that i will always pick over and over agin due to its melodious sound and i can say it is a mother for all other instrument which serves as a backbone for all other instrument anytime they are been played.
