As I went about my Christmas activities, I went through my mind a trailer of episodes that made me see my transformation in my working life.
Life is surrounded by ups and downs and that somehow is reflected in our performances or in our expressions or words, which sometimes are without thinking, which is wrong.
Sometimes those outbursts hurt people who don't deserve them and they change our job prospects to the point of seeking income.
In every job, there is always friction, it's part of being a work family, there are days of days.
The 2023, helped me to control my emotions and to face directly the unpleasant situations that we can witness at work in my case with customer service which is not easy, and to spread the motto the customer is right, or even with colleagues.
Nobody has the power to make us feel less, we are able to face any situation on our feet.
Sometimes for fear of losing our job, we keep quiet about off-base comments, injustices either by our peers or superiors, but I understood very well that whether we do an excellent job or not, we will always be criticised.
So my moral is, let's work at our best every day, with our transparent essence, regardless of what people say, those who talk a lot envy us, for smiling, for shining in what we do and for the infinite qualities that every being has.
When we love what we do we give a unique ingredient to our functions in the company and the performance is notorious, but the exclusivity must be done in an established schedule without becoming an obsession.
Work is important for our monetary income, but the most crucial thing is our blood family, so let's learn to distribute time and space.
Our work will not be paralysed because we are not there, it will continue with or without us.
Being expressive is both good and bad.
Why did you say that?
Good, because our colleagues know where we stand.
And bad, because more than one doesn't like to hear the truth up front and will try to bring you down at any cost. This happens even in the best families.
It is better to say what you feel in such situations if the time is right or to wait for the right moment to speak your mind.
It is part of every person's maturity to face situations rather than talk behind one's back and say what is and what is not.
When I started working I focused only on that, without expecting to find friendships, but as time goes by they become part of your family, loyalty is a value that cannot be bought and once obtained we have the glory, which is obtained like a needle in a haystack.
It may be age or the activities we face on a daily basis, but there comes a time when that fear is lost and leadership is formed, which is evident in every decision we make.
Facing situations with caution and in a respectful manner is synonymous with maturity and that not just anyone will come to sabotage you.
It is not about imparting fear with our fellow human beings, it is about distancing ourselves from the toxic people that unfortunately we are all surrounded by.
