When I am asked what I do for a living?
When I was studying Industrial Relations, many years ago, I always said that I would never be a teacher... Although I admired my teachers (some more than others) I was always grateful for their time, dedication, and dedication to everything they knew, but I did not see myself working professionally on that side.
After so many undergraduate studies, when the decision came to continue my graduate studies, guess what I chose to study? I chose Teaching for Higher Education and after that Master's Degree, I did my Doctorate in Educational Sciences. It is an honor and a great privilege to be able to train talented and successful professionals, but above all with passion for what they do.
Now, after so many professional and professional ups and downs, I feel that I am so lucky! I have so many children (students, facilitates, alumni) scattered around the world, I am still giving birth to pure talent and I say "proudly I am a university professor" with many reasons to continue educating for life.
Reasons? ...
š Because I allow future professionals to make their dreams come true.
š Because I am an agent of change. I always want to look for spaces of inclusion ... and have good references to give in my city in terms of education.
š Because I am happy to teach and help others.
š Because I inspire others as my teachers inspired me.
š Because I am an invaluable contribution to society that nurtures our citizen reconstruction process.
š Because I love to form people of integrity, dedicated to knowledge and happiness.
I simply repeat to myself in a thousand ways, these and every day, each of these reasons for being a university professor. I thank all those who have allowed me to achieve what I am from genuine detachment, to achieve great things in my working life, to live a meaningful life, considering all the roles of my existence; whether as a daughter, father, or mother, worker, investor or citizen; and to design the most efficient and pleasant path that leads me to identify and continue to achieve my professional goals.
And I extend this desire to all those who exercise this admirable work, especially in my country, Venezuela, I applaud them for being disciplined, persevering, and enthusiastic... Dedicated to the soul, life, and heart.
I see very closely all the effort and effort that we university teachers and a team of collaborators makes to achieve excellence and always be at the height of all situations, such as online education that advances with the technology that this generation demands to achieve the required skills in an easy and understandable way, and that is admirable in these times in our country and I confess that it is not easy at all.
The recognition of the excellence of the students who remain in the graduate program keeps me fighting despite the adversities that am I going through in this country.
And how have I achieved this?
My work experience in university teaching has been and is one of the great goals that I have gained from the physical, mental and spiritual preparation and has endowed me with capabilities, skills, and abilities to face any challenge, responsibility, or task, educating for life is my life force, I love teaching, learning, creating, and transforming lives in my facilitators and that for me is my greatest reward.
I currently advise professionals in doctoral theses with research methodology and this requires knowledge, empathy, sensitivity, and a lot of constant studies. Many professionals have been my students, and this between my profession and my job is simply exciting. I believe that my faith gives a sense of will and possibilities of realization to everything I do with passion. And as much as possible, I try not to get distracted by minor issues that distract me from my path.
I am a professor (teacher) of the chair of research and extension of the graduate program. And here I continue to learn from life and study with discipline and dedication. We can all be the size of our purpose.
My priority in work life is: "I allow only what adds up to me to affect me".
I also have a specialty in Human Resources, and NLP, which I studied almost simultaneously with my postgraduate degree in Teaching for Higher Education.
Nothing like loving what you do. Being a professional by vocation makes the work more beautiful, entertaining, and dynamic. I have some incredible participants; talented and disciplined, always willing and interested to learn.
I believe that we must spread and build, from the work experience and give to humanity, that drop of love called education that transforms our lives.
Furthermore, I love all aspects of my job with passion. Likewise, I love being old school and writing everything down in notebooks, and notepads, and now I have learned to do it digitally. I love teaching... and being the professional that I have become.
