I’m with you on your points of enjoyment & concern! It’s absolutely a fun all-ages fantasy. I think it’ll do especially well in collected editions sold to that market. I love the whimsy & the character design of Inkblot. I do think perhaps Kubert & Gladd are putting a bit too much emphasis on exposition and worldbuilding early on, instead of organically introducing these characters & settings in a more story driven way. However if the structure of the first arc is to sort of introduce these various realms and siblings in quick standalone tales, I’ll be happy as long as it begins tying the threads into a more compelling narrative moving forward.
