Since it is the day before 4/20/20 and tomorrow will mark the day of the 420 Mt. Tabor Cannabis Celebration - we decided it would be a good idea to set out on a little scouting mission hike up to the summit. To our surprise, there were about as many people on the mountain as there are on any other given fair weather day not during the pandemic. We also encountered a bunch of wonderful wildlife on our hike including a west coast woodpecker.
The following video serves as a quick reminder that the gathering is in fact going to continue, and includes a short excerpt of our hike, along with my short event explanation once we arrived atop the summit. I also saw several other folks that looked a part of our 420 Tabor circles, who also appeared to be scouting the event for tomorrow - this is a good sign.
A Few Things to Remember
Expect to be out in the woods all afternoon so pack accordingly. Essentials include a packed lunch, clean water, and your own personal stash of cannabis and cannabis consumption devices to ensure a safe and healthy celebration. In all likelihood the roads to the park's summit will be closed, so you will have to find a spot to park alongside the mountain, and hike up one of the numerous trials to get to the gathering at the top.
