So, we made it to the Puerto Vallarta airport, ready to head inland and visit with the homies... Only there are no flights out of Puerto Vallarta apparently... On any airline... For a month!
The Volaris (airline we're booked through) website says "everything running normally", their app says the flight is on schedule, and Google Flights still shows options for every airline... But the airport is empty, every flight on the board reads "cancelled" (except, strangely enough, a flight to Seattle that just left, and 2 to Cali later in the day.)
Nothing comes up when searching online about airlines shutting down in Mexico, so this may be the first news of it getting out.
I'm guessing it's maybe related to Trump declaring war on the cartels yesterday, and moving USSA navy, air force, and coast guard to surround Central America? Maybe Mexico's distinct lack of response to the plandemic is having repercussions?
I find it unlikely that Mexico just went from basically no concern at all (sending home non-essential government employees) to shutting down at least one major international airport. Anyone have eyes on the ground in other cities in Mexico? Go check the airport please!
Also got word that a friend in Australia is having the same issue. Everything looks good for the flight, until she hit the airport: doors open, lights on, nobody (not even workers) around...
Here's the video, for some reason the videos themselves are no longer included in the post to Hive/Steem anymore, though this post was created directly on dtube:
