This weekend the little man and I had a bunch of fun at the car wash, my first time using a self service car wash lol

One of the things I like to do is doing things myself. Don’t know if you got that theme or not! Lol. I was always one to wash my cars myself with a good old fashioned hose and bucket of water and soap. Since moving out of my parents house many years ago though, I think I’ve gone to a car wash once or twice to clean the cars.
This weekend though I decided to try something that the wife had told me was a good idea, using the drive through self service car wash instead. It was actually quite a bit of fun for the little man and I!
The idea makes sense and is one I actually kind of enjoy. I know some people are very particular with the different things they buy to use on their cars. I sort of get it but I also don’t really care. They have soap, brushes and hoses. Got me! It was fun to have the little man help me through the process. He doesn’t like the loud noises so he wears the headphones lol cracks me up whenever I see him doing it but he’s got great hearing still, far better than mine!
What I enjoyed about the whole thing is I drive up, spend 10$, and I can do the washing myself and get all of the supplies. If I were to do the same at a store to buy the stuff and use my own water it would cost more than that. I might never buy my own car wash stuff again because of that convenience lol. I typically just let the rain clean the cars since it does a pretty good job but this was a way to get all the bird shit off the car.
We spent about 14$ because I didn’t know what to do initially, the next times I’ll know what to do but you add the coins or swipe your card and you can add more money to extend the time you are using it. I was letting it run out and then charging it again which costs more money in the end lol. It was money well spent though, it was pretty hot here, about 92 degrees and the little man was sweaty so we cooled off with the nice spray and stuff. He got to do work and we got to spend time together that he and I enjoy so it was a good hour of fun!
We ended the fun little trip with seeing one of his favorite things: a train! He absolutely loves trains and he sometimes gets to see them but often doesn’t. He lucked out on this one he got to see a freight train!
