Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today we got a little bit of snow and certainly had the little man out there playing.
Makes it Fun
One of the things I’ve realized, having bought him the right toy to use in the snow, is a pretty good thing. Last year we fumbled around with various other things to let him play in the snow and go sledding but they were all pretty bad. We didn’t know really where to buy a sled that wasn’t going to cost us 50$ so we were just making due with what we had. Not the worst but if you try to use a tool that’s kind of okay but not really, for a job, you know what it feels like to use the right tool when you finally get it.
This was that moment for us and toys for the little man. We bought him two saucers for Christmas and it was challenging to hide them considering how big the things were. We lost access to a shower in our house to hide it lol. It was well worth it though when I saw how much fun he was having using the saucer today! The thing flies down the hills, it was great. He’s been asking to go sledding for a while since it snowed really early this year, in October. We finally might be getting a bit of snow over the next few days and weeks so we will get to really enjoy these things. I’m glad I bought two so that the wife or I can go alongside him and really enjoy it.
Let’s flying in the air, I’m sure you can hear the laughter coming out of the little man!

I went for a ride on it myself once and it’s not really rated for adults on this type of snow lol. My ass hurt just after one go, so hopefully once we get a little more down we can enjoy it more! There’s a bunch of really good small hills right out back so we don’t have to go far but the lake is the best spot for it. There’s so much for space that we have been waiting patiently for some good accumulation to hit so we can really enjoy it!
