Waiting is the most irritating thing to me. Many people think that waiting and patience are similar things, but in my eyes, both are different. Waiting is something we are forced to spend time on, which is a waste of time. It doesn't bring any extra benefit to us. But in the case of patience, we wait for the perfect time for the betterment; it means it can bring extra benefit, and we aren't forced to do it.
I mentioned many times that I hate to go to the bank because for the banking activities I need to stay in the queue, and it costs a lot of the time. There is another thing I hate, and it's the visit to the doctor. I am saying why it's irritating, as I experienced the same thing again.
My mother had an appointment with a doctor because of her illness. My father was supposed to go with my mother but for a reason he didn't go and I went to the doctor's chamber with my mother. The appointment time was 7:00 p.m., but we went there at 9:00 p.m., which means two hours late, as I know the maximum time the doctor becomes late.
Reaching there, I saw there were many patients waiting for the doctor, and the doctor was yet to arrive. In the lobby, all the seats were filled, and there was no place for my mother to sit, and it was trouble because my mother can't stand for a long time because of her sickness. Somehow I managed to arrange a sit for my mother, and it gave me a little relief.
I thought within half an hour everything would be done and we could return to our home. The doctor arrived in his chamber after 10:00 p.m., and honestly, I felt very angry about such a kind of attitude because three hours late is a huge time. Patients make appointments with a doctor, having the hope the doctor will give them the solution to their illness. But when a patient needs to wait three hours just for nothing, it's indeed irritating. Some people feel very uncomfortable because spending so much time outside is not good for their health. I think the doctor is responsible for the suffering of those patients because the doctor is not maintaining his time properly. A doctor should care about the time of the patients because suffering for three hours gives a feeling of hell. Many patients come there from very far, and it's more difficult for them. If such a thing happened sometimes only, I could understand, but when it happens almost regularly, it is the fault of a doctor. In that case, the doctor can adjust his schedule if he cares about the time of patients.
Even if I went there two hours late, we needed to wait three more hours to meet with the doctor and I was just helpless there as there was nothing I could do. Moreover, I would not achieve anything if I got angry, as it's not effective. I wish I could slap the doctor for not caring about the time of patients. I think he deserves it.
I know doctors are busy people and I agree with it but when the same thing repeats again and again It the nature of the doctor means he is not punctual.
