Being successful in this life is not just about working hard. Yes! With the trends and happenings in our environment and economy, it is not about working hard or killing oneself before one can make it in life. It is about connections, being linked to a good environment, and above all, being lucky.
It is just like something I stumbled upon on social media one day, a religious comparison regarding who will make heaven at last when regions and people are compared. There are countries where things are easy and everything is working well for them. The citizens do not need to steal or do anything bad before they can get money to live their lives. Some of them do not need to spend long hours in church or miss work. Meanwhile, there are countries that have the complete opposite, things are just tough, and people are having it hard. Before one can even become an average person in terms of wealth, the person must have done a lot of dirty things. In such places, going to church becomes a yardstick for being successful for those who believe, while they spend their whole days in church and neglect working. Mehn, things are really not the same!
Whenever it comes to this, I always use this platform as an example. Some people here are having it easy because of the region they are from, like absolute favouritism!
Another angle is that those who are putting in a lot of effort are not getting as much as those who seem to be walking into success effortlessly. What do I mean? There are people who write just 100 words and get a reasonable number of votes, while there are others who write 1,500 words and get nothing at the end. No, no, it is not because those who write 100 words have worked their way to that point. Some of them are just lucky, with a touch of favouritism based on their region.
This write-up may not be meaningful to you, but hey, I had to pause this afternoon when I wanted to write in a particular community that really stresses my brain, only to end up with nothing reasonable. I wasn't ready to stress my brain...It's not by hardwork
Meanwhile, there are people, friends that I know, who are enjoying life on this platform at its best.
Abeg let me go jareh.
Thank you for reading.
