Yesterday I received an email informing me that I only have 21 days left before the end of my membership in the airline that I have been using throughout the year. I can't believe that time has passed so quickly and that it's time to pay again, but without a doubt this benefit was very useful for most of the trips I've been doing. That is why now I'm almost "forced" to buy one last ticket of this cycle to be able to take advantage of the discounts, but with the challenge of having to plan a new trip in record time 😅.
Ayer me llegó un mail en donde me avisaron que solo me quedan 21 días antes de que se termine mi membresía en la aerolínea que estuve usando durante todo el año . No puedo creer que haya pasado tan rápido el tiempo y que sea momento de pagar otra vez, pero sin dudas este beneficio fue muy útil para la mayoría de los viajes que estuve haciendo. Es por eso que ahora me veo casi "obligada" a comprar un último pasaje de este ciclo para poder aprovechar los descuentos, pero con desafío de tener que planificar un nuevo paseo en tiempo record 😅.
Last year I bought a membership to this airline so I could get promotional fares on all the flights I chose. I had paid 3000 ARS for it but it was worth it because there were half price discounts on each flight. This was very convenient if you plan to travel a lot during the year and as it was, I made the annual payment and I was getting a lot of use out of it. During that period, I used the plane to go to Chubut, Misiones, Córdoba and Santa Cruz and "supposedly" I saved almost 25,000 ARS for having used the membership but I allow myself to doubt because airlines tend to inflate prices quite a bit sometimes 😅.
El año pasado me compré la membresía de esta aerolínea para poder obtener tarifas promocionales en todos los vuelos que eligiera. Por ella había pagado 3000 ARS pero valía la pena porque habia descuentos de mitad de precio en cada vuelo. Esto era muy conveniente si tenes planificado viajar mucho durante el año y como así era, hice el pago anual y le estuve sacando bastante provecho. Durante ese periodo, usé el avión para ir a Chubut, Misiones, Córdoba y Santa Cruz y "supuestamente" ahorré casi 25.000 ARS por haber usado la membresía pero me permito dudar porque las aerolíneas suelen inflar bastante los precios a veces 😅.
If this year I want to renew my membership, I will have to pay about 4,500 ARS, that is, 50% more than last year. This does not seem like a big increase in relation to last year, but we must take into account that the tickets have increased almost 100% of their value in some cases. For example, the first ticket I bought when I had the membership cost me 4,000 ARS in May 2022 to the city of Iguazú and now one for the same date costs approximately 8,000 ARS. And not only the tickets increase, but everything increases as well: accommodation, transportation, food, excursions... everything except salaries 😒.
Si este año deseo renovar la membresía, tendré que pagar unos 4500 ARS, es decir un 50% más que el año pasado. Esto no parece un gran aumento en relación al año pasado pero debemos tener en cuenta que los pasajes si han aumentado casi el 100% de su valor en algunos casos. Por ejemplo, el primer ticket que compré cuando tenía la membresía me costó 4000 ARS en mayo 2022 hacia la ciudad de Iguazú y ahora uno para la misma fecha cuesta aproximadamente 8000 ARS. Y no solo aumentan los pasajes, sino que todo aumenta así: alojamiento, traslado, comida, excursiones... todo menos los sueldos 😒.
There are those who are obsessed with dollarizing everything and it is true that in relative terms, it actually seems that our country is "increasingly cheaper." The US dollar in March 2022 cost 200 ARS and today it costs 380 ARS, so if we talk at least about the membership, last year it cost 15 USD and now it costs 12 USD. BUT the main problem is that in Argentina we don't earn salaries in dollars, so we suffer even more from price increases in Argentine pesos. That is why I recommend that if you are a foreigner and you have the possibility of coming here for a vacation, do not hesitate because everything is quite cheap, while we have to save a lot to give ourselves a well-deserved vacation 😅.
Hay quienes están obsesionados con dolarizar todo y es cierto que en términos relativos, en realidad pareciera que nuestro país es "cada vez más barato". El dolar estadounidense en marzo 2022 costaba 200 ARS y hoy cuesta 380 ARS, por lo que si hablamos al menos de la membresía, el año pasado costaba 15 USD y ahora cuesta 12 USD. PERO el principal problema es que en Argentina no ganamos salarios en dólares, por lo que sufrimos aún más los aumentos de precios en pesos argentinos. Por eso recomiendo que si eres extranjero y tienes la posibilidad de venir a vacacionar acá ni lo dudes porque todo es bastante económico, mientras que nosotros tenemos que ahorrar bastante para darnos unas merecidas vacaciones 😅.
As for the plane ticket I want to buy, I still don't know the destination: there is a short time left before the membership ends and I can continue buying at a promotional price, but I have to go somewhere. Of course no one forces me or rushes me to have to do this, it's just that I want to take advantage of what I paid until the last minute. In addition, according to my way of seeing things, investing in a trip has the double benefit that it allows me to see and visit a beautiful place and then have content to share on this blog 😃.
En cuanto al pasaje de avión que quiero comprar, aún no sé el destino: falta poco tiempo para que la membresía se termine y poder seguir comprando a precio promocional, pero a algún lado tengo que ir. Por supuesto nadie me obliga ni apura a tener que hacer esto, solo es que yo quiero aprovechar lo que pagué hasta el último minuto. Además, según mi forma de ver las cosas, invertir en un viaje tiene el doble beneficio de que me permite conocer y pasear un lugar hermoso y luego tener contenido para compartir en este blog 😃.

What is certain is that any destination you choose is going to be beautiful because if there is something I have learned in all this time traveling and walking from here to there, it is that this country does not disappoint, except for its economy that is tightening a bit 🙃.
Otro tema a tener en cuenta es clima: aún sigue la extraña ola de calor a pesar de que falta muy poco para que empiece el otoño, así que en el norte hace mucho más calor de lo normal y las opciones que quedan son el centro o el sur de países. Lo que es seguro es que cualquier destino que elija va a ser hermoso porque si hay algo que aprendí en todo este tiempo viajando y paseando de acá por allá es que este país no defrauda, salvo por su economía que aprieta un poco 🙃.
