Hello Hive Fam! I hope everyone’s day is going smoother than mine because today, I just had one of those moments that made me stop, stare, and sigh deeply.
So, here’s the story: I was in the kitchen earlier when I noticed the wall paint looking a little off. At first glance, it seemed like just a faded patch. But when I looked closer, I realized the crack I saw months ago—back when it was still small and harmless—has now grown bigger. And to make matters worse, there’s even a tiny crack in the wall itself.
Now, this house was fully built just three years ago. I paid the workers fairly for their tasks, and I expected the structure to hold up well. I’ve only been living here for almost two years, after moving from Manila where I rented an apartment for more than a decade. I thought transferring to Bulacan and finally living in my own house would mean fewer worries. But here I am, ranting about a wall that seems to be slowly betraying me.
I honestly don’t know what’s causing this. Is it the occasional earthquakes shaking the area? Or is it simply poor workmanship despite the payments I made? Either way, it’s frustrating to see something you invested in start showing signs of weakness so soon.
I can’t help but compare it to my old apartment in Manila. Sure, it wasn’t mine, but at least I didn’t have to stress about cracks appearing in the walls. Now, as a homeowner, every little flaw feels personal—like it’s testing my patience and my wallet.
Anyway, Hive Fam, thanks for letting me rant here. Sometimes, it feels good to just let it out and share these frustrations with a community that understands. Owning a house is supposed to be a milestone, but moments like this remind me that it also comes with unexpected headaches.
Thank you for reading my rant and for being here to listen. 💛
