I admire people who can create content every... single... day... And for a long time... I was doing that for maybe a year or so, and it is extremely hard to do it... Especially if you want to provide value in your posts, a different message every time, and not just shitposting... And even if you tick all those boxes, you still have to sit down, take a deep breath, and convert your thoughts, and your knowledge into the text, picture, video, or audio...
The last few days we had a shitty weather and I couldn't go out for my regular daily walks... That killed my whole routine and being a kind-of meteoropath, when it's constantly raining, and the air pressure is low, I have migraines issues, which leads to some other things like nervousness, stress, insomnia, etc... In those moments, it's not easy to sit down, (try to) concentrate, write, and spread some positivity out! I suppose that I'm not the only one with these moments, that's why I admire people who can overcome these things and still "do their job"!

Okay, I digress a lot... But, this is a kind of late-night rambling/blogging... 😃 I wanted to talk about the importance of supporting other authors on the HIVE... Yes, in a nutshell, it is another talk about the Hive Power (I told you that I will do it again and again... You were warned... 😃)...
If I check my latest posts (you can do it too) I have noticed an obvious pattern... When I create a post from some of my journeys or walks in nature, I got more valuable upvotes... And not rarely, I got upvotes from some whale accounts that are "called" by curators in a specific project... Which is great! Yes, I'm doing a lot of photographs and shared with people and those travel blogs are interesting to read/enjoy, but...
When I create posts where I try to send a strong message about this chain, sharing my experience and trying to help others to avoid mistakes that I did, I very rarely got some whale upvotes... I'm not complaining, just looking objectively at the results...
So, what's the conclusion from that? My message from these "late-night blogging" posts is not important at all and they have no value. Maybe... But, in that case, those posts wouldn't get over 50, or 100 comments... So, they have some value, but the "value is hard to judge" for curators and whales... Or HIVE doesn't have a curator project that supports that kind of content? But, there is a catch...
As I said, I do get comments on those posts and I'm immensely grateful to every one of you who are doing that, and I do get upvotes on posts, which means that people do appreciate them... And, in my opinion, those "regular-guy-upvotes" are 100 times more valuable than the "whale upvote"... Those votes count triple! 😃
Now, back to the conclusion... for the second time... 😃 We have these curation projects on HIVE that are following certain communities, supporting them, picking quality posts, and all that is great... But, what if your content doesn't "fit in the frame"? What if your blog topic isn't in front of the whales' curators? It's not worth doing it? It's not important? I don't think so...
In the example that I showed you, it is obvious that people like to read "different blogs"... How can we fix it? Very easy... Don't delegate ALL your HIVE POWER to whale accounts! Delegate some, but not ALL! I know that you maybe earn a better APR, but you are giving out YOUR POWER on the network... You are giving power to another person to DECIDE for you what is good and what's not! You are NOT in control! It reminds me of one sentence that Elon Musk said in one interview...
If you are rooting for censorship today, you will be censored tomorrow...
So, if you are creating specific content and you are unsatisfied with the results (upvotes, comments), and on the other side, you delegate your Hive Power to a whale account, you are YOUR OWN PROBLEM... You would like to be appreciated by others and you are not taking the time to appreciate them! Isn't that hypocrisy?
Whales don't care about you and your content... Curators do appreciate good content and sometimes you got lucky to be supported by an "official curator" for some big whale... But those who appreciate your content 100% are your "neighbors"! Your friends that you found on this chain, people who are in a similar position like you, struggling to get out their message... They do care and you should care about them too!
Support your neighbors on HIVE as that's the POINT of this blockchain!
Don't worry about the whales, they will take care of themselves... Care about the small guy as he/she is struggling as you...
Thank you for your time,
ph
