No, I will not be talking about the album but rather the literal brat that pissed me off earlier today. My day started fine—I woke up earlier than usual, and finally the delivery rider texted me that he'll be delivering my parcels today. I ordered them before the new year, so I'm happy it didn't take more than a week for it to arrive. Things are going smoothly with me doing the house chores I'm supposed to do. Our classes didn't start yet because our clearance wasn't signed completely, so for now we still have a week or less to lay low.
It wasn't long before the delivery rider called me, and of course I immediately answered him and assured him that I'll be out in a jiffy. The dropping point of the parcel was quite far from our house, so I hastily made my way towards there. As usual, there are kids playing outside—kids that don't go to school yet. Most of them are decent kids, yet like our local saying goes, 'Sa usa ka bulig naa gyu'y buang' or "In a group there's always one that's rotten". The same goes with the kids there because there's really that one kid that almost everybody doesn't want to cross paths with, and unfortunately today I crossed paths with her again.
She's really a nasty kid, and like I said, almost everybody doesn't want her—same goes for her parents, who seem to not care for her by now. Before, they often scolded her, but now they seem to have gotten tired of it, and so have the people around her. As usual, when I passed her, she immediately followed me while mumbling something nasty. I pretended to not care about her existence both because I'm used to her nastiness and also because I'm in a hurry. It's almost a year since she started taunting me, calling me names and throwing stones at me. I dodged them all, including the stones, and of course I know she's a kid, so I don't pay mind to her. Also, she doesn't get much closer than a meter to me, so it's fine. But today's different.
As I went past her, she immediately tailed behind me. I walked faster, but she also ran behind me and suddenly punched my lower back. Yet still, I didn't mind her because it wasn't strong, and I'm also in a hurry. I thought she'd stop, but alas! She continued to trail behind me. She continued calling me nasty names, but I continued ignoring her. And when she realized she's not getting the attention she badly needed, she suddenly grabbed my pants, and of course that kinda caught me off guard because I have a weird reflex when someone touches me without my permission. I immediately grabbed her hand tightly, and I don't know what I was thinking at that time, but I dragged her with me.
The dragging lasted for seconds, and so did her yelling. After that, Isnapped back to reality and let her hand go, and I know she definitely won't bother me again because I heard her running away. I didn't look back and just continued walking because I still need to get my parcels. When I'm done getting them, I walked back home and thank God, I didn't saw or met her anymore. I thought I would feel bad about what I did, but strangely I didn't.
Good riddance. I guess she learned a lesson for today.
