I have bi-polar and sometimes things agitate me to the point of distraction. Sometimes I find myself talking out loud in public to myself! I thought perhaps expressing myself in written form might help.
Firstly, as some of you may already know there has been one hell of a train wreck in Ohio. Deliberate sabotage maybe. The train was packed with tons of chemicals which created a huge black cloud. Animals are dying left, right and centre. The life in the Mississippi River may be wiped out.
The enormity of what has happened is not reflected in the coverage it has received in the media. Cue agitation.
Secondly, Seymour Hersh's story about the US/Norway conspiracy to blow up the Russia/German Nord Stream pipelines has been slapped with a "conspiracy theory" label. Of course the authorities in question deny it - that's their job. However, the fall out from this could be huge.
German prosperity has been largely built on access to cheap gas from Russia. The US put a task force together back in the autumn of 2021 and supports the contention that this is a war about resources and making Europe need the US and their more expensive LNG.
As a European this is concerning me and it also feels like another step towards World War Three .
Finally, a terrible earthquake.
However, getting aid to the people affected in Syria has been anything but straight forward. Sanctions imposed by the US blocked aid initially until pressure was put on them to temporarily lift them. This sadly shows how sanctions are really warfare aimed at hurting ordinary citizens.
Any news that the Syrian government refused aid are quite frankly wrong. It is the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda who have blocked the delivery of aid fearing it would make people more inclined to like the Syrian government.
Cue further agitation.
It's just another week in the new normal. Everything is Putin's fault though right?
