Making money today is no joke. Everywhere you look, it seems like children of the rich get everything without much hassle. They get the resources and the connections literally handed to them. My TikTok feed is now flooded with rich kids showing off Ferraris and Lambos and I almost get a tear in my eyes knowing how much such a car costs. If only I'll have that price of the car as the money in my bank account.
The drive these cars and go on expensive trips and have all the girls meanwhile, we're out here grinding trying to get a little favour. It ain't about the hours no more, it's about the ways in an unjust world. It's just tiring to see them succeed so easily while we stay struggling to get noticed or earn a decent living.
One of my friends hold two jobs to pay for rent and to save a little, while a classmate from school started his business with money and connections from his family. When you see such huge differences in opportunities, it's hard not to feel overwhelmed and little bit frustrated. I'm not talking about greed or jealousy I'm talking about how we don't start on the same level and yet the most is demanded from us.
This resource gap is very evident these days since the rich kids have social media to flaunt the wealth. They get the best education, right contacts and even safety nets in case of failure. We on the other hand, rely solely on ourselves and mostly without a backup plan. It's like running with weights on your back as opposed to others sprinting forward with no weights at all.
Yet, we continue to grind and in the process, we turn out to be more resourceful, resilient, and determined.
It's very difficult going through a world tilted by privilege and the disparity between the rich kids and average people is way too obvious.
