It has been interesting, observing people´s behaviors these last 2-3 years. It seems never have we, the human race been so divided on a collective level. That never, have we been so judgmental of one another, because of the views that we hold.
Forgetting, what it is like to just live with one another. Look each other in the eye and treat each other with respect. Suddenly there are these divides that are hard to ignore, because you either believe one thing or another.
It´s been hard to witness, to see friends no longer want to talk with you, to hear of families torn apart. All over our views. Which we all have a right to have, regardless of which of them are damaging. We all make choices, even if they are sometimes heavily influenced.
Us humans have always had different opinions, be it political, spiritual, religion. And yet we have lived side by side, okay maybe not always harmoniously, but for the most part respectfully.
But nothing like this, that has driven such a huge divide between people who were once so close and on such a huge scale. I often wonder, why this simple fact alone, wasn´t enough to make people question what has been happening.
But that´s just my humble opinion and some will no doubt disagree with me.
I don´t want to get into any disagreements here, I just want to point out, how well we have been segregated. When mostly we all want the same thing, just different versions of it, that´s all.
It is becoming a distant memory, a time when we mostly, just all got along. When there wasn´t this huge elephant in the room, that drove us all apart. Where because of a single decision, you are seen as a threat to everyone and even demonized.
This huge grieving process, where now I just feel sad, to see how we all have been affected.
We don´t need to agree on everything, we never have. I know it can be extremely frustrating, when what you believe can seem so blatantly obvious, but we are not all on the same path.
Life is much more mysterious, than all that.
There was a time, not that long again, that we were being told to celebrate our differences. Instead now, we are all being coached to think and act the same. Constantly bombarded, with so much information.
Who knows where we are all headed, perhaps we will have to make a final choice, pick sides so to speak. I just hope we can remember what live is all about, living! Not wasting time on fighting against each other, putting one another down, life is simply too short and we are all bigger and better than that.
