Hi hivers, stopping by just because I was so busy maintaining my current house at my hometown, Malang City, East Java Indonesia. It was a nice house actually, we still could not afford buying one so we rented this place a year ago. However, I didn't know that behind the nice building, there were problems just waiting to emerge like a ticking bomb.
We got extreme weather warning again and suddenly we back to rainy season again. Just recently I had to call up electrician because we suddenly experienced a short circuit. Total blackout for 2 days and the official electricity company in my country could not do anything.
When the electrician came, turned out we got leaks on several spots in our house. He had to dig the wall to find the problems and make holes everywhere. After the electricity back to normal, then I had to call a handyman to repair our roof, our walls and checked out the leaks.
However, because these days it rained very hard then we got another leak. Still couldn't find the reason until now. And I haven't got time to take care about that. And then today the water heater blown up. We didn't know why and tomorrow I had to call the handyman again to repair that, check the roof again and hopefully we can solve the problem for all.
This kind of things might seemd like everyday problem, but still causing headache and draining. My family decided to rent the house because my sisters needs more space to open her beauty studio and hair salon. It was pretty nice at first, until we stayed there for several months. The plumbing got problems, it leaked everywhere, and other menial things that gave us headache.
Since this is a rented house, spending money on maintenance really made me annoyed. Especially since the they were because the house didn't well made. But we made our choices and had to take care the aftermath for another year. Moving out will also cause a problem because my sisters already invested on tools and renovation for her studio, so likely we will stay here for another 2 years.
But we still had to be grateful that we had a resource to rent this house. It was pretty decent though, if you forgot about all the hassle to clean up the water after bad rain. If we move to another rented house, most likely we will encounter problems too, in different form. I know that I had to face it, but just because it happened one after another, I was so done with this house today.
No matter what, we still have to find a little joy in every situation if possible. Just like my lil boy who happily climbing the stairs during maintenance. I wish I could remember how to be that happy go lucky.
Thank you for reading my rant. Hope your day is better then mine. See you around.
