Its friday and for some that means thanksgiving with friends and family and for some its just friday. Or friyay!
For me it was Christmassy friday at a garden-interior centre near Rotterdam in Zevenhuizen.
Its the annual christmas train village exhibition. Its a part of the centre where you can buy trains, villages all in winter scenes.
The scenes that you put out there for the holiday season. In the living room, infront of the window or in the Jedi’s room. I don’t know if you know what I mean or if you all have the same tradition but here its a thing.
Its a thing we have done since the kids were little and still do. You see a lot of grandparents and parents with kids. Its a big hall where all is presented. And there even is a kiddie ride with ren dear for the kids. They make it global so you can buy a scene from New York, Paris and Berlin. But also Rotterdam and de Efteling the biggest amusement park in the Netherlands.
And all in detail. Al with little people, lights and houses. SNOW is everywhere. I even saw Austria and skiing this time.
Its not cheap but every year you can add scenes because they ll can be joined and extended to bigger villages or scenery’s. Here you see what all ist there to buy and make your own village. Trees, and fake snow. Lanterns and houses. I love the train sets.
But also the bottom. Green carpet and grass to make a forest or a mountain.
I thought this light tower was so cute. And there was a man in front ofthe door, so there are also all kinds of figurenes taht you can buy.
This one was huge, I cannot image the price of this in total, but than again you have to start small. This was so detailed and I saw so may things that me and the boys stood watching for 5 minutes.
The little lights in the trees and snow made christmas come early this year with the coming covid lockdown extra rules this is fun.
This is the north of the Nteherlands, and the houses you find in Friesland, even with the flag on the house.
This is a small village. 15 houses, light and snow, all for 159,00 euro. Its so much but you can reuse and extend it every year. And it is for the young and the old.
And we also always wnat to show our heritage, the windmills are the sign this is Holland.
Ofcourse there are also sceneries that aren’t real. The kids can use their imagination in the stories in these villages.
This looks like a boat and a house, but in the Netherlands those are boats that don’t sail, but no not here, here we see the bike on board and two men fishing.
Here you see a road with little cars and again a windmill.
I had fun this is so much fun. And seeing how many kids were there ( like me with the boys ) that you here so many AHHHH, WOW, OHHHHH and MUM SEE THIS , MUMMMMM OHHH LOOK LOOK…. Hahah so it was a succes again. Now we have done this I want to visit the christmas exhibition for inspiration for our tree. I will do a blog about ll the trends oin trees and decorations. And I will show what we decided on color wise this year.
