Exactly 5 days ago I needed some ingredients to prepare a special meal, the truth is that I had little budget and taking into account what I could spend, I had to forget the market I always go to, I love that market because it has air conditioning, something that is essential here in my state because it is usually very hot, plus there I get everything I look for in terms of food and personal hygiene, and everything is very clean and tidy, plus the great attention there.
But if I went to my favorite market I was sure that the money I had at that moment would not be enough to make the purchases I needed.
So I only thought of the community market that is only a few minutes away, this market is located in the north central coastal area of Venezuela, in the state of La Guaira.
It is a big market, and you can get cheaper prices than in other markets, especially in fruits, vegetables and greens, personally I do not like to come much to this place, it is very crowded and the truth makes me nervous places where there are many people.
The first place where we stopped to buy, was a stall where they sell fruits and vegetables, there the gentleman who served us already knows us and is always very friendly and smiling, people like that makes you buy, there I bought part of what I needed, for example, chives, cilantro, a broccoli flower and lechoza, Everything came out for 130 bs official currency of Venezuela, but at the exchange rate in dollars which is the currency that is most used at the moment, although it is not official, would be about 4.4 dollars approximately, I was happy to buy from this man because in one place I got almost everything I needed and also gave me my favorite fruit, a very nice mango!
Then we continued touring the stalls and stopped at another place, the owner is an old lady, we call her grandmother, we just stopped there to say hello and ask for a picture, but she did not want to leave, she allowed us to take a picture of the place, but she turned her back to not leave, the fruits there are almost always very fresh.
I was looking for some almonds, I knew that here I was going to get them cheaper and with the ease of buying just the grams I need, normally here in our country you can get them in many places but most of the time they are very expensive, here I have a good option for my low budget. The man who sold them to me was reluctant to take pictures, but I was able to take at least one with his approval to show them here, I bought 100 grams of almonds, its cost 55 bs, approximate exchange in dollars 1,8.
Following the tour of the market we can find people selling nuts, raisins, olives, dog food, spices, of many kinds, and they have them in large tobos, sold by grams.
There are also other stalls where they sell groceries, eggs, toiletries, but I prefer to buy those things elsewhere.
You can also get ornaments for the holidays, bags, wallets, children's toys, but I don't usually buy any of those things there either.
I focus more on what I did come to look for, I was missing a coconut and we found the place, the coconut cost 30 bs, Venezuelan currency, would be about 1 dollar.
And so I finished my shopping, there were only a few things, but I could not leave without first passing by the small stall of some ladies, who sell coffee and cold drinks, among other things, I really found the coffee cheap compared to other places, the small glass coffee 10 bs, with a dollar you can buy 3 and the coffee bigger glass 20 bs, but I bought a cold drink, the Malta, it is a very typical drink in our country, it is made with yeast and brown sugar (panela) I only drink it when I am very thirsty, it is good because it gives me energy, that drink cost 20 bs, it would be a little less than a dollar.
The ladies there were very nice and I even took a picture of myself in the place!
I finished my small but important shopping in the community market of Catia La Mar (Edo La Guaira, Venezuela) I came back happy with my shopping bags because the money was enough.
Oh and I forgot to tell you that there is an outdoor parking lot nearby, there are some gentlemen who are in charge of taking care of the cars so you can do your shopping with more tranquility, they are given a small tip.
My shopping is done, now go home!
In this market you can find almost anything you are looking for, but I only recommend it to buy food, especially fruits and vegetables, the freshest ones are always available on Fridays and Saturdays.

Saludos a todos! me encuentro muy emocionada, ya que esta es mi primera publicación por esta comunidad, espero y sea de su agrado.😊
Hace 5 dÃas exactamente necesitaba unos ingredientes para preparar una comida especial, lo cierto es que contaba con poco presupuesto y sacando la cuenta en lo que podÃa gastar, tenÃa que olvidarme del mercado que siempre frecuento, ese mercado me encanta porque tiene aire acondicionado, algo que es primordial aquà en mi estado ya que normalmente hace mucho calor, además que allà consigo todo lo que busco en cuanto a alimentos e higiene personal, y todo está muy limpio y ordenado, además de la gran atención que hay.
Pero si iba a mi mercado preferido estaba segura que el dinero que tenÃa en ese momento no me alcanzarÃa para hacer las compras que necesitaba.
Asà que solo pensé en el mercado comunitario que me queda solo a unos cuantos minutos cerca, este mercado queda en la zona centro norte costera de Venezuela, estado la Guaira.
Es un mercado grande, y se pueden conseguir precios más económicos que en otros mercados, sobre todo en frutas, hortalizas y verduras, personalmente no me gusta venir mucho a este lugar, es muy concurrido y la verdad me pone nerviosa los lugares donde hay mucha gente.
El primer lugar donde paramos para comprar, fue un puesto donde venden frutas y verduras allà el señor que nos atendió ya nos conoce y siempre es muy amable y sonriente, a personas asà provoca comprarles, allà compré parte de lo que necesitaba, por ejemlpo, cebollÃn, cilantro, una flor de brocolà y lechoza, todo salio por 130 bs moneda oficial de Venezuela, pero al cambio en dolares que es la moneda que más se esta usando en estos momentos, aunque no es oficial, serÃan unos 4,4 dolares aproximadamente, salà contenta de comprarle a este señor porque en un solo lugar conseguà casi todo lo que necesitaba y además me regaló mi fruta preferida, un mango muy bonito!
Luego seguimos recorriendo los puestos y paramos en otro lugar, la dueña es una señora mayor, que le decimos la abuela, solo nos paramos allà para saludarle y pedirle una foto, pero no quiso salir, nos permitió sacar la foto al lugar, pero ella dió la espalda para no salir, las frutas allà casi siempre son muy frescas.
Estaba en busca de unas almendras, sabÃa que aquà las iba a conseguir más económicas y con la facilidad de comprar justo los gramos que necesito, normalmente aquà en nuestro paÃs se consiguen en muchos lados pero la mayorÃa de las veces son muy costosas, aquà tengo una buena opción para mi bajo presupuesto. El señor que me las vendió estaba reacio a fotos, pero pude sacar por lo menos una con su aprobación para mostrarselas por aquÃ, le compré 100 gramos de almendras, su costo 55 bs, cambio aproximado en dolares 1,8.
Siguiendo el recorrido del mercado nos podemos encontrar con personas vendiendo frutos secos, uvas pasas, aceitunas, comida para perros, especias, de muchas clases, y las tienen en tobos grandes, las venden por gramos.
Además de otros puestos donde venden vÃveres, huevos, artÃculos para el aseo personal, pero esas cosas prefiero comprarlas en otro lugar.
También se pueden conseguir, adornos para las fiestas, bolsos, carteras, juguetes para niños, pero tampoco suelo compar nada de esas cosas allÃ.
Me enfoco más en lo que si vine a buscar, me faltaba un coco y dimos con el lugar, el coco costo 30 bs, moneda venezolana, serÃa 1 dolar aproximadamente.
Y asà terminé mis compras, eran solo unas cuantas cosas, pero no me podÃa ir sin antes pasar por el pequeño puesto de unas damas, que venden cafes y bebidas frÃas, entre otras cosas, realmente el café me pareció barato en comparación con otros lugares, el café vaso pequeño 10 bs, con un dolar se pueden comprar 3 y el café vaso más grande 20 bs, pero yo me compre una bebida frÃa, la Malta, es una bebida muy tÃpica en nuestro paÃs, esta hecha a base de levadura y azucar morena (panela) solo la tomo cuando tengo mucha sed, es buena porque me da energÃa, esa bebida costó, 20 bs, serÃa un poco menos de un dolar.
Allà las señoras fuerón muy amables y hasta foto me tomé en el lugar!
Terminé mis pequeñas pero importantes compras en el mercado comunitario de Catia La Mar ( Edo la Guaira, Venezuela) me vine contenta con mis bolsitas de compra ya que el dinero alcanzó.
Ah y se me olvidaba comentarles que tiene cerca un estacionamiento al aire libre, allà hay algunos señores que se encargan de cuidar los carros para uno poder hacer las compras con más tranquilidad, a ellos se les dá una pequeña propina.

En este mercado se puede encontrar casi todo lo que uno busque, pero yo solo lo recomiendo para comprar alimentos, sobre todo frutas y verduras, las más frescas siempre suelen conseguirse los Viernes y Sábados.
