So, when out shopping at Shoprite today, I decided to do something special. I realised that by wearing my Hive branded shirt I could help market Hive while shopping. This will be like walking Advertisement for Hive.
Going to places with anything that represents the Hive brand(shirt, cap etc) appears to be a nice marketing strategy, people are likely to take a good look at it whenever you approach them or walk about.
Many brand manufacturers are aware of this kind of brand promotion, which is why they frequently distribute shirts with their logos and other essential information. While Hive do not hire an advertising firm to help it gain greater exposure, Hivers can act as brand influencers to help it gain the attention it deserves.
The Shopping Experience At Shoprite
Shoprite is one among the places where I go shopping when I'm in Accra. It's basically a big shopping centre.
Because it is well-stocked, you should anticipate a steady stream of buyers. This Shoprite is located at the Achimota Retail Centre, a gigantic shopping mall in Accra that houses the majority of Accra's top retailers.
I love to do shopping at Shoprite and I like how the shop is organized, with each section containing a specific brand of product, making it much easier to find and select what you're looking for.
I needed to get packs of bottle water, some soft drinks, and some munchies. In Ghana, some of the popular bottled water brands include Voltic (16.35 cedis/2.52 Hive), Bel Aqua (25.35 cedis/3.91 Hive), and Verna (11.85 cedis/1.83 Hive). They're all taste great, but my favorite is Verna, which I bought two packs for 23.37 cedis /3.65 Hive.
I've bought Verna over the years because I've seen how they have impacted the lives of the most disadvantaged in Ghanaian society. Fruit juice was the next thing I had in mind. There were so many to choose from, but I couldn't resist getting Tampico (4.99/0.77 Hive), Ghana made and a favorite drink. I had to get five of these.
I was ready to grab one of my favorite potato chips (Kracks 32.99 Cedis /5.08 Hive) when I came across this girl who required my help picking sweets for her friend. I don't buy sweets unless I need them for my kids, but I assisted her in selecting some that I knew would be delicious. As a recent high school graduate, I saw this as an good opportunity to introduce her to Hive.
The shopping became more exciting as she became more interested in Hive and had to accompany me around in order to know more about Hive. Thanks to Hive, I've already made some friends. Others with whom I attempted to engage in conversation at the shop were also enthralled with Hive.
Baba, who is located near the Mall's entrance, is one of the several Kebab vendors I dropped by to have a taste. I purchased one for 4 cedis/0.8 Hive. We took a selfie after I gave a quick talk about Hive. Many people are unaware of the blockchain that is transforming lives , and I feel that in order to achieve mass adoption more awareness campaign is needed.
This shopping experience made me realize how fantastic it would be to go out wearing or having anything that represents Hive to help market it. Everything was thrilling, and I hope that all of my future shopping experiences are as enjoyable as this one. Thanks to for the #MarketFriday.
