Another Friday has come, and it means we are showing what our market Friday looks like. This is the second blog that I’m going to share the market where I went, and I would love to read what kind of market you have there too. Last week, I planned to visit our local market, but unfortunately, the rain interrupted my plan, so I canceled it. I didn’t want to get sick from the bad weather. Thus, I have a hectic schedule, too.
Given that I am the one who shops for our weekly food, I enjoy coming to the market every week. I typically don't bring my phone though because I'm worried I'll misplace it while shopping. This Market Friday community was started by , who has a great heart and spirit. She is passionate about reading, finding new markets, and learning about them. I'm going to show you the shop I just discovered recently, too.
It had been a while since my last trip to Bacoor, so I strolled over to the mall in search of fresh items to buy. The cause is that increasing inflation has had a significant impact on transportation costs. The mall's shops and stores have changed; some have recently opened while others were previously shuttered. One particular store caught my eye right away. The name was quite original, and it had such a lovely opening.
I was referring to a business named Papemelroti, which offers eco-friendly, local products and handicrafts. The store had an unusual façade that set it apart from the competition, while the interior was extremely simple. Despite not having any intention of purchasing anything, I entered without a second thought. I was taken aback, though, by how alluring, appealing, and stylish they were.
The sight I was taking in astounded me. It was quite simple to pick up items, even though I've been to places like this before. This is probably because I haven't had the time to roam around without many people. They were stacked one on top of the other, front to back, with items. They displayed their products with real minimal use of space. My best friend started to walk while imagining the things he liked and showing me the things he wanted to buy.
These tiny miniatures are ideal for you if you want to purchase and collect figurines. These adorable, seductive miniatures are ideal for placing on tables, in cupboards, or right next to your television. While I was taking pictures, I recalled how my grandmother used to gather figurines for celebrations like birthdays and weddings where they were given as gifts to guests. The prices are somewhat expensive, ranging from about ₱115 to 300 (or $1.96 to $5.13).
I love buying and reading books, as you are all aware. Reading requires a small break because you can't finish a book in one sitting. Therefore, you must use a bookmark. In the store, I discovered several bookmarks that resembled these. What sort of character this was, I had no ideas. It might have been an original design. Yet it was terrific. Despite being made of paper, this particular bookmark was ideal. You could pick from a selection of four characters. You must pay ₱99 ($1.69) for each bookmark. Does it worth buying? Yes, since it will last a very long time for me.
A basket of keychains bearing an encouraging slogan caught my eye. Since I was a naturally curious person, I chose the one that reads, "Cultivate Curiosity." This keychain perfectly captured my character because my thoughts were constantly wandering and finding answers. Even though I wanted to buy this keychain, its pricing was high considering its size and appearance. I also believed each piece of this keychain costs ₱99 ($1.69).
To convey mood and soul, several mothers decided to place attractive exhibits on the walls. I knew these wall accents were ideal for my room as soon as I saw them. Like that specific piece of black wall art on the left. I like having black or brown on my walls, though, and the statement or verse printed was "the joy of the Lord is my strength, Nehemiah 8:10". Unexpectedly, their costs were higher than I had anticipated. The lowest cost was approximately ₱250 ($4.28), and the most expensive was ₱1,110 ($18.84). Oh boy, I was startled. It’s a no-no for me.
The nicest and most popular type of wall decor for homes is walk clocks. Without a wall clock, I could not adjust because I was accustomed to checking the time before leaving my room and home. I was astonished by the designs of these wall clocks. They weren't typical for me. Depending on the environment, its design, color scheme, and style convey a varied mood. There may have been more wall clocks on display, but I didn't get a chance to take pictures of them. I can picture keeping one in my room and using it later in a story. The pricing, nevertheless, shocked me. It costs approximately ₱600 ($10.28) and ₱900 ($15.42). Will you purchase one?
Here are some items that I took that caught my eye too.
Boxes of gifts printed with Philippine Maps are truly a feast in my eyes. They were good gift boxes and I knew that the receiver would keep them. I wanted to buy at least one of them, but that was out of range from my initial budget. I would definitely come back before Christmas starts. The pricing starts from ₱139 ($2.37) to ₱159 ($2.72), not bad at all.
Do you love riding bikes? Miniature bicycles of various sizes and hues are for sale at the shop. My old bike is rusty because I didn't use it too often. Why are these bikes so expensive for their size, I wonder. You will have to pay ₱200 ($3.42) for the small one you are viewing, while ₱400 ($6.84) is the price for the larger ones.
I spent a half-hour wandering around the Papemelroti shop, fantasizing about their items. I inquired about my permission to take photos, and their personnel responded positively. They must have known that I would publish it online and possibly acquire publicity. The fact that this store promotes local items is something I liked. Their entire line of the offered product is crafted entirely by hand using eco-friendly materials. I preferred and promoted environmentally friendly products like those found in this shop. You just not help the business to grow but our environment as well.
