May I hear the voices of angels and follow the weary shepherds – the refuse, the forgotten, the cast-asides – and go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, and see it again as if for the very first time, if only in my dreams. Waiting is the hardest part, but it can be the best part too.
Merry Christmas - Almost. Glitter me done!
Unwrap your day with holiday magic. Embrace all that is shiny and bright with the day and share it with others around you. May that feeling of Christmas last forever, not for just one day, for loving, sharing, giving – and not to be put away like ornaments, lights in some box on a shelf.
Joy to the World. Every ornament represents the stories of our lives. Each time we decorate the tree, lives are relived, people are remembered; one of the ways our traditions are born. I have spent much of the last few days in the company of friends and family, so I am running a little behind here. Again. I remember saying this exact thing not even a month ago. Life. Love. Laughter. There just cannot be enough of it. Ever.
Ribbon and berries, holly and glitter, things that make my holiday shine. Oh, the joy! There are so many reasons to love this time of year, or any other part for that matter.
I carry your heart with me, wherever I go.❤️ I carry your love with me, whenever I do. Give your love as generously as is possible.
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by
Hive account@dswigle (Denise, that's me!!)It's Christmas in some places in the world, so I wasn't sure if I would get any posts submitted today, but, I wanted to take a moment to wish my #MarketFriday people Merry Christmas! I thank you for keeping the journey alive and I wanted to dedicate this post to all of you. ❤️
The final Christmas Countdown is 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 10 seconds!!
It just wouldn't be Christmas without my mothers' recipe for the much-despised cake. It has been described to me like this: Fruitcake tastes like a mix of dried fruit and alcohol, with an elegant hit of spice. Ready to take their turn in the oven and be ready in about six to eight weeks. This is called Operation Fruit Cake, Part ll. I already have about a dozen being delivered to people across the States, eager to get theirs. I know, you nonfruitcakers don't understand that kind of love, but, it is very real. We love it and we look forward to Christmas, mostly for the fruitcakes. No lie. Wait! That was a joke! They will be ready in a little over an hour, then sprinkled generously with brandy. One for me, one for them. One for me. One for them. It will be an early night for me. I might be scheduling this post.
All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.
It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.
Merry Christmas to all! Wishing you the special gifts of this holiday season - Peace, Joy and Lasting Happiness. May your burdens be light and your blessings abundant. Twinkle radiantly!!

’Twas the Night Before Christmas
…And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow…
