I used to try to write regularly in the community on Market Friday. Since I have to go shopping on other days, including Friday, as the owner of the house, I used to try to share some descriptions of my Friday shopping on Market Friday. Couldn't post too much here due to spending a long time busy but currently I have some time on hand so I decided to share some of my shopping experience in this community. And I want to work with the community again as before, at least on Fridays, to share my shopping experiences with everyone so that anyone can see and get a good idea of shopping in my area. Besides, in our country and region, one can get a good idea about the price of a thing.
In fact, I like it when I see different posts from Market Friday because I can easily see the detailed descriptions and environment of different cultures and markets in the posts here. Since people from different countries are involved here, we see different countries sharing their culture from which we can all benefit. We may not go to many countries but we can get a very good idea about the market, culture, and product prices of those countries from such posts.
So, I will try to write in this community regularly from now on and visit the posts of this community. I already liked this community very much but could not give time due to busyness. Hopefully I can spend time in the future and learn a lot of new things by working with this community.
Going to the market and shopping is annoying for many but many people like this job very much. The common culture in Bangladesh is that the boys go shopping for the necessities of life. And girls generally feel more comfortable doing other chores, including cooking at home. There are many exceptions to this, i.e. girls go shopping and boys cook at home. This exception, however, is absolutely slight and minimal. Again, when the world needs a big shopping, the girls like to go to the market and look at the details very carefully.
I personally don't like shopping very much because I don't like the market environment at all. Even then I have to shop for the necessities of life and the urges of the world. When I go shopping, I try to finish the market quickly by collecting the necessary things in a very short time. Today I will share with you one of my unique one-day shopping experiences in the Market Friday community.
We are basically shopping for our daily necessities but sometimes we have to do some things outside of our daily necessities. One afternoon I went out to the market with one of my colleagues and saw sugar-cane. It is a very popular food if available in Bangladesh at this time. These sugar-cane sellers are very nicely arranged by the sellers and when any buyer likes, they are decorated very nicely and served. They are cut into pieces as they are called. And this sugar-cane juice is very tasty to eat. Anyone likes it very much and during this time it is sold in large quantities in the markets of Bangladesh.
My colleague and I decided we would eat some sugar-cane here and take the rest home. I did as much as I thought I bought sugar-cane. It was priced below one dollar. Now that the season is going on in Bangladesh, anyone can collect sugar cans for very little money.
So, we asked to cut it into convenient shape and the shopkeeper prepared it in two minutes and served it among us. We started eating with two sticks and brought the rest home. The decorated sugar-cane sticks are very beautiful to look at and everyone is attracted to see and come here to buy these sugar-cane and taste it. I try to taste sugarcane this season when I get a chance and its water is also very sweet. And because of this sugar national interest, many people accept it with great pleasure.
I hope you like my market friday post today and if you like it, please comment.
