HAPPY MARKET FRIDAY!
Sixteen miles from our #homestead lies the city of Norwich. It's a nice clean city with little shops, a movie theater, several pubs and restaurants, a couple of banks and hotels, as well as a few beautiful churches all decked out with gorgeous stained-glass windows.
There's also a Super Wal-mart, a Lowes, a French bakery, a Subway, a Taco Bell, a McDonalds and a Burger King.
Many other businesses as well, like one of my favs, a Tractor Supply. 😄
Unfortunately, a place called J.McLaughlin, a clothing store, closed down last year. Out of Business!
AN AMERICAN ORIGINAL SINCE 1977
J.McLaughlin was founded in 1977 by brothers Jay and Kevin with a mission to create a new American sportswear brand that offers two key components: classic clothes with current relevance and a retail environment with a neighborhood feel.

The closing of this store was a real bummer, it was a great department store that carried quality, name brand clothing and shoes for the whole family.
With this store closed, our city needed a place to buy clothing and home goods. In came Marshalls. This store has been opened since July and has really come in handy. It has lots and lots and lots of stuff.
Let's take a tour.
Hats with the New York logos fill the wall, hats for ladies and kids hang from the racks, with slippers for the BEAR family.
With Valentine's Day just a few weeks away, Marshalls has lovely displays of gifts from the heart.
So much to choose from in this vast department store.
St. Patrick's Day is another winter celebration, that as far as I know, everyone is Irish on that day in March.
Lovely pillows are stack on the shelves. Kindness sure does matter.
Clothes racks are packed all over the store. For ladies and gents, teens and toddlers.
Gifts on the tables and weights on the shelves, there's something here for whatever your thing.
Cookware~~
And baby gear.
It's a great store to shop even when there's not a thing you need, but that doesn't mean the Belgian Chocolate
wasn't calling my name. 😅
Hello my friend , here I am again, sharing this wonderful community with all the shoppers, sharing the experience with cool people from all over the world.
We're cool right?
Don't answer that question, I already know that answer, I live in the mountains that just got 17" of snow plus minus zero temps. So I am cool, so cool, I am almost frozen.😎
Denise, you do such a great job keeping all of us moving forward, putting a smile on our faces, and enjoying life, which of course, includes doing the marketing, um, yea, on Friday!!
Much LOVE,
farm-mom
