In the city of Norwich New York there's a little gem called Le Chateau Des Deux Cheris, a lovely French bakery. They serve coffee and tea along with pastries that are prepared daily.
The bakery had a face lift this past year, fresh paint has restored this old building and the blue shutters are new to the establishnent.
It's a charming place to enjoy a coffee, relax and daydream.
As you walk in the door the fragrance of fresh bread and yummy morsels hits you with pleasure. I am in my happy place instantly as I choose some bread, apple pockets, (a favorite) eclairs and a Raspberry Croissant to go.
We had come to the city for my hubby to have his physical therapy for his newly replaced knee and I still had some time to give before picking him up and the smell of coffee drew me in.
A nice cup of fresh brew would go nicely with the ALMOND CROISSANT
I couldn't resist , warmed up, that buttery beauty would melt in my mouth of that I was sure.
As soon as it was served, I told myself, cut it in half, it's too much to eat in one sitting, but between my uuuummmms and aahhhhhs it was going.....
GOING...
GONE...Oh what a delight!
What a quaint place, set with small tables and lovely furnishings that are wonderful to peruse. Cozy and comfortable, as you enjoy the surroundings as well as the pastries.
On this Friday in early June the sun was out in all her glory making in wonderfully warm, so I chose to sit out back on the open air deck overlooking the green landscape.
As I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the view, I counted my blessings, thankful for all my good fortune, my mind was at peace this day as I licked the butter off my fingers. 😋
