While vacationing in Cape Coral Florida on our way to brunch at the local deli we couldn't figure out why there was so much traffic. Most late mornings since we had arrived, traffic at that time of day was light, but not on this Friday. As we inched our way to our favorite breakfast place, we saw exactly why there were so many people and cars on the road. A big swath of the parking lot had been cordoned off; tents filled the space with tons of street venders. We skipped brunch and went to see what was happening.
There was a trio of guys playing music and the smell of food drifted through the air. Oh this was gonna be fun.
So many vendors, from woodworkers to local honey, silver jewelry crafted by local artists, blouses and skirts to massages. It was a real treat to peruse all the different wares available under the tents.
Local growers had beautiful fresh picked fruits and veggies at what I thought were very reasonable prices.
I picked up some gorgeous tomatoes and sweet onions, a salad was in order for tonight's dinner. But since we had skipped breakfast, I went straight to lunch and had super delicious empanadas.
Freshly made to order.
did some shopping also and he surprised me with a new sundress, what a guy, I love his thoughtfulness.
What an enjoyable, relaxed experience. Best part, we could see people's faces again, smiles were everywhere. My smile was probably the biggest, as I said hello, chatted with people and just soaked up the wonderful atmosphere.
The last purchase I made was a big bouquet of flowers and of course my friend popped into my mind. As she says #alwaysaflower.
I am a big supporter of local farmers, artists, flower growers and musicians and on that day, I spent a bundle.😅 Go #bitcoin, go #crypto, go #hive, the likes to share the love.
Hello my friend , thank you kindly for hosting #marketfriday, always a pleasure.
HUGS!!!
