Hey there,
It's been a while since I last posted a blog to #marketfriday community owned by and I'm really happy that for this month the dreemport challenge is to collaborate with this awesome community and I had to challenge myself today because of the challenge ππ. So today, I and my sister went to the market to get some groceries and other things for the house. And according to the rules for the challenge, we were asked to show our relationship with the people in the market, get to know how long they've being working there, their favorite color if possible.
Now, back to how my day at the market went.
Today I was not feeling so well, so I had to take some rest before then I and my sister went to the market. First we went to withdraw some money before going to the market. When we got to the market, it was busy as always because it's a public place.
We had the plan of getting some groceries we would use in preparing soup and stew. We bought the things we needed and we found out that things were more expensive than the last time we went, except for some few things.
Things we bought for food and their prices.
I bought Grounded Melon for $0.83, Pork $1.63, Catfish $2.5, Stock fish $0.33, Tomato and pepper $0.83, Onions $0.92, Grounded Spices $0.1, Grounded pepper 0.17 and everything I got for the soup and stew was a total of $7.563. I spent below $10 because I already have some things at home, if not I spend up to $10 for preparing both soup and stew. The prices of things keeps going up and down but with $10 I can get a very decent meal for the family, we are a family of four by the way ππ.
While I was buying the melon for the soup, it was then I met Precious. She's just a girl like me, she was there assisting her mother. She was reluctant to say so much about herself. It was even hard getting her to take a picture with me but she agreed and I was really happy and grateful for her. At first when I told her I was a writer she smiled and I'm sure it was because she saw that I was just small, hehe ππ but it's fine at least she agreed later on ππ, And she was the only one I could ask.
It was not really easy getting this task done but that's why it's called a challenge and I enjoyed every bit of it. At some point I wanted to give up on this challenge because it was a really big challenge for me but I made it βΊοΈβΊοΈ. You can get the full details of the challenge here. And for those who haven't heard of dreemport, well you can get the details here too.
Here in my country we have a lot of things you could get at $10 which is equivalent to about #6000 here. I couldn't take shots of too many things except the once I needed but there are a lot of things you can get with such amount if you are not extravagant in spending.
In the market, the most expensive thing to me is the biscuits. For me I'd say it's one of the most expensive things because it adds little or nothing to you yet it is sold costly. From all the varieties in the image above, the cheapest cost half a dollar and for me that's expensive but if I have the money I'm still going to get it anyways ππ. And I also find the biscuit shop one of the most beautiful places because it was well arranged and looks really attractive too.
I'll end it here, I hope to see you at my next blog β£οΈβ£οΈ.
