How are you friends, hope you are healthy and happy. Thanks #Marketfriday by as manager this community. I share experience of visiting vegetable sellers at a vegetable - producing place.
I accidentally walked into a mountainous area at an altitude of about 1300 meters above sea level, the name of the place I visited was Perbawati village,Sukabumi distric, about 12 kilometers to the North from Sukabumi City,West java.
This area has always been famous for all kinds of vegetable plantation, agricultiral products in the form of vegetables which are sold to local markets and some are sold out side the City.
This simple stall, which is located road, sells various vegetables produced by local farmes wich they sale at this shop. The types of vegetables the sell, such as Cabbage, carrots, green onions, beans, corn, red peppers, cloves, potatoes.casssva, pokcoy, pumkin, and other, vegetables that come from here.
The vegetable seller in this place takes vegetables directly from the farmers,so the vegrtables sold will affect the price. The price is a little cheaper when compared to prices in traditional markets and modern market.
For example, the price of tomatoes for one kilogram is 5.737.- idr ($0,38) if the market price it 6.375,- IDR ($0,42),for example the price of chickpeas is 9.000,-idr ($0,6) in the market the price is 10.000($0,66).
The price of cassava here is 3.500,- for one kilogram, the market price is 4.500,-($0,33). It is estimated that there is a different in price of about 10 percent up to 12 percent. Vegetable buyers at this place are from the surrounding villages and visitor who are traveling on the area near here.
Vegetable produce from farmer is entrusted to the shop, then the farmer takes money if the vegetables entrusted to the shop have been sold. Those who have stalls only sell vegetables from farmers.
The profit for those who have stalls is usually an agreement between the vegetable seller and the farmer directly.
Thank you very much.
