#MarketFriday Challenge is an inspiration from Denise ! It's all about sharing experiences in any forms of marketing, be it indoors or outdoors. Though I've only read postings of legally decent markets, if you know what I mean π; it does intrigues me if anyone would post those underground black markets here π€
This is the lobby level of Vivo City at 11.00am on a public holiday. Fortunately, everyone is still very careful
And since I've always kept my post proper and professional, allow me to share about my experience at Co.op Mart Xtra at Vivo City, Saigon. This is my favourite and only hypermarket store in Saigon. One that truly lives up to its name, while the rest are just simply a supermarket. There is a history to this store.. It was under the management of TMC Giant, in which if you're a Malaysian like me, you would know that TMC Giant is a large hypermarket conglomerate in Malaysia; owning multiple branches of Giant Hypermarkets nationwide. However, due to some conflicts amongst its partners, the company had to be dissolve and TMC Giant in Vivo City was sold to Co.op Mart Xtra.
While there are several outlets of Co.op Mart in Vietnam, Co.op Mart Xtra in Vivo City is the only one with a joint-venture with FairPrice from Singapore. Now, FairPrice is similar to TMC Giant; only that they are from Singapore. As such, the list of suppliers and provisions sold at Co.op Mart Xtra is very much suitable to the taste buds of Malaysians & Singaporeans.
A whole row of junkies and I'm a sucker to this. Can you guess which is my favourite?
Co.op Mart Xtra has two floors selling a large range of provisions; from kitchenware, household items, fresh meat, vegetables, fruits and even hard liquors. I'm able to stock up lots of my household provisions with just one visit and I will take my time to go from aisle to aisle; checking out the different brands of items. By the time I was ready to go, I had a whole trolley filled with groceries - maybe a bit too much. Then again, I tell myself that I only come here once every other month so it's fine to splurge a bit and enjoy myself π
Look just how empty a store can be
This is the one tag and weekly challenge that I try to make a point to join; not to mention that I'm also a fanatic when it comes to sight seeing or shopping in any form of market - indoors, outdoors, food, textile, accessories and etc.
