Me and my partner decided to eat lunch at restaurant where there is an eat-all-you can buffet. We have been invaded by Korean culture and one of them is food such that there are so many eat-all-you can buffet restaurants here in the city all of a sudden.
One is called Nare Restaurant. They have two branches here in the city. We have been to their main branch a couple of times so we decided to go to their new branch. From our place, we took a cab to get to Nare and that costs PHP125.00 (USD2.40).
Nare is located at the 4th floor. We had to take the stairs though for their elevator is under maintenance.
Once there, you can choose where you want to sit. You can also reserve through their fb page ahead of time but walk-in is fine. We got there and there are lots of available tables.
You can choose between eat-all-you can pork which is PHP300.00 (US5.76) per person or beef and pork for PHP340.00 (USD6.52). We just chose pork this time. If I was younger, I would have opt for both beef and pork.
Once we were decided where to sit, we then head on to the buffet table to get what we want to eat. Aside from beef and pork, there are other food that you can choose from.
There is only one choice of beef (lower left) and three different cuts of pork to choose from. Whereas, in other restaurants, there are more choices for beef and some even have chicken but they do cost more.
Of course there is kimchi which is a staple for Korean buffet. I was not able to take much photos for we were busy with grilling and eating.
We also had to make the most of our time for we still have to buy laptop for my partner and then meet someone later on.
Once we are done and had enough and rested, we then headed to the mall to check if there is the available laptop that my partner wants. This is going to be a backup laptop for work. We've already checked online reviews about it and it seems to be a good choice.
Good thing they have the model that my partner wanted.
I was not able to take photos in the store but I saw wall paintings by artists Venazir Martinez and Taipan Lucero.
This is my partner's laptop charging now.
The saleslady who assisted us said that that was her first sale for the day and it's already around 2:00 p.m. that time. I hope she gets more sales later that day or for the next succeeding days.
Then we headed down Session Road which is full of people. Every flower festival, this road is closed to vehicles for the one week and stalls upon stalls of different products are sold up and down the road.
This was taken during one of my walks.
This is the first festival after pandemic. Most of the products old there are food, about 80% of those are selling food so the road smells of food.
One of my friends who sell wooden crafts and other stuff had a stall not in Session Road but at the park close by. I did visit them one time and took photos of what they are selling.
I'm not sure how much these items cost but you can check out their fb page and inquire. They do make to order stuff as well. You can even see how they made some of the those things.
A new stall that I saw is this tactical depot where you can buy gears. I've never seen this one during the previous years. It is only now that I noticed this stall.
One time my friend saw a sausage that is being sold there. This sausage came from a particular place. We have tasted a sausage from this place served in a friend's cafe. She doesn't like to divulge her source of this sausage for she thinks we will not go back to her place if we knew about it for surely we will be ordering directly from the source. Kind of selfish but I understand her reasoning though. For we like eating sausage and her fear will be realized lol!
Anyway, so we bought from this particular stall that sells sausage from that same place that our friend gets her sausage from. Eight pieces costs PHP180.00 (USD3.45). The other variants costs PHP10.00 less.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed by it. It's not as what we were expected. It surely was different from what our friend serves in her cafe. Another friend of ours bought another variant and it was way too salty she said.
I think we are sticking to our friend's sausage then for now.
So there goes my weekend #marketfriday hosted by .
