I visited this port on 29 May 2022. All photographs are taken with my iPhone. 😊
The Port and its shops are located on Google maps at the yellow arrow :
Closer look at it:
More information about it can be found In the following website!
It states:
”Benalmádena Puerto Marina rates amongst the best in the world, proof of which is the fact that it is several times winner of the ‘Best Marina in the World’ award. With 1,100 moorings for boats of all nationalities and up to 6 meters long, Benalmadena Port – ‘Puerto Marina’ is one of the Costa del Sol’s busiest centres by day and night. For the energetic, the nightlife carries on in sophisticated bars and clubs.”
Let’s start our #MarketFriday:
After parking the car we enter the port in the middle, 1 floor up behind the restaurants. We walk to the right and down some stairs…
And see the port.
The beautiful buildings and little boats around us. Some buildings are located on little islands as you can see on Google maps above.
Let’s walk first along the water side and take in the views.
Beautiful sailing boats to our left.
On our right side we find all kinds of little shops. Many do cater for the tourists.
We also find some cute little restaurants with tapas menus.
The prices on this one are rather high.
But let’s walk first further so I show you the port a bit more 😎
Little bridges connect the buildings to the mainland.
This is the far end of the port where the longer boats are located.
On the right of them is the open Mediterranean Sea 🌊
View of the middle.
Behind us we find the entrance to the port and a little hamlet with sporting area where you can set up for little sailing boats or diving etc.
Let’s walk back to the port and shops.
View into the port.
Let’s look at what they sell in the little shops.
Handmade puppets for only €8,95 🤓
Flying handmade natural animals starting at €9,90
I enter another little souvenir shop, as wanted to get a magnet for on the fridge.
They come in all sizes and range from €2 to €5 euros.
I ended up buying this one:
For €2,95 euros
Yes, why not… let’s do the touristy bit hahaha 🤣 although I live here 😉
I see little dreamcatchers inside.
For €2,50 euros
More accessories for on the walls or on cabinets
So colourful, how pretty.
They also sell the famous Spanish bull in metal or ceramics.
€50 euros but now 20% off… 🤓
Or this one for €14 euros… looks like it’s a bit cheaper.
Let’s wander a bit further, I will show you now some details on the buildings.
Neptune with it’s trident…
Some architectural features…
Walking past a Mexican restaurant. Their menu:
Another bar… it’s quiet here, almost lunch time… soon they fill up.
We are on our way to something special for lunch 😉 so stay with us.
We are leaving the port area now and wandering along the boulevard… seeing the Senda Litoral, walking trail sign, it goes along almost 200 km of coastline. A little part of it you can find in This post : click here ;)
On the boulevard we find more sellers and tourists.
But we reached now our favourite Chiringuito Rafael
We order some drinks and food for lunch.
The website of Chiringuito Rafael you find here!
Our views… the beach.
We ordered the following for lunch:
orange juice
Coca Cola
A large salad
Bread and butter
2 Conchas Finas/ Giant clams
A plate of baked fresh fish with ali oli
A portion of calamari’s fritos, fried squid
The bill totalled € 46,50 euros
After lunch we walked on the back side of the port back and saw a few more little colourful shops.
In a corner we find:
