Hello everyone, hello
,
I hope you are all okay. I know I'm a bit late here but as I've mentioned in my previous posts I don't want to skip a single week without having to submit my #MarketFriday post, unlike last week wherein I was able to post my entry early this time it's a bit late but still better late than never.
THANK GOD FOR THE CHANCE
So I got this chance to go to a mall earlier and as usual, I took photos around so I could share them here. I know people who saw me would think that maybe I am new to the place or that I'm ignorant 😅because I kept on taking pictures, in my mind I really wanted to tell them that I am a blogger and I will use those pics in my #MarketFriday post 😅. How I wish I could do that.
TRIO BONDING
Anyhow, I and my son and daughter went to a mall a few hours ago, the reason was to go to a parcel company because I need to send some coffee powder to my cousin in Surigao (it's my small business, I am selling Corn Coffee with "Malunggay" or Moringa, I think I should write about it soon). At the same time, my daughter wants to check the sale, the mall announced in its FB page about a BIG sale to happen today.
UNPLANNED
I really don't have the plan to go out today because we have plans to go out tomorrow but when my daughter told me to accompany her to the mall I did not have second thoughts, in my mind, this is my chance to be able to participate in #MarketFriday with fresh photos.
AYALA CENTRIO MALL 🏬
So we went to Ayala Centrio Mall, it's one of the newest malls here in our city after SM Super Malls. It is owned by a big businessman in the Philippines and has branches in almost all of the key cities in our country.
Ayala Centrio Mall is actually an integrated mixed-use complex composed of a shopping mall, a hotel, a BPO/office building and a condominium tower. It is very accessible and there is also a link to another mall in the city so people are just crossing between the 2 malls.
The mall is located in the heart of the city, Corrales Street to be exact, so from our home, it would take us about 10 minutes the most to reach it. It is also surrounded by a lot of big establishments.
There's a lot of transportation in going there although this time of pandemic the government limits the operation of public transportation.
My daughter told me that among the malls here in Cagayan, Ayala has more customers, so I did observe that, although there are a lot of shops that are closed, still you can see a considerable number of people roaming around.
But still, if you compare it during the time wherein there was no pandemic yet, maybe the number of customers is only one-tenth of the usual customers they have every day.
WINDOW SHOPPING 🛍️
So we had more time window shopping although we were able to buy a few things. As you will observe in the photos, most of the shops were on SALE. From 20 to 70%. Adidas, Nike, Vans, Skechers, Puma, and a lot more.
I can say most of them are losing. A lot of businesses were already closed permanently.
I pity not the companies but the people who are working with them. I know it's so hard for them, I know a lot of them already had a hard time looking for money to buy their basic needs especially food.
This is the reason why I pray and its part of the family's daily prayer for God to do a miracle and stop the spread of the virus. Because while the number of positive cases is declining in some other countries, unfortunately in the Philippines it goes up almost every day.
I hope its the opposite in your part of the world.
Such a condition or situation is so alarming, I am worried it will take more time for us to be freed from the virus. I just hope people will be able to endure and survive.
I know it would be so hard but I also believe we have a God who will not forsake us. The best thing that we could do today is to PRAY hard.
DINNER TIME 🍽️
Anyhow, since its almost 6 in the evening we did not leave the mall without having dinner, so we went to one of the family's favorite restaurant, it's actually a food chain serving chicken barbecue, too bad I forgot to take pictures of the food we ordered but I got this photos of the store itself while waiting for our order.
As you can see there are very few customers, only 2 persons are allowed every table so I took another table and my son and daughter in one table.
After dinner, we roam around for a few minutes and bought some items. My daughter really wants to buy a new pair of shoes because of the big discount but unfortunately, only 5 customers are allowed inside every batch, you have to secure a number first before you can go inside.
Lastly, just want to share those beautiful and colorful plant pot. People here became hooked up with growing plants in the house, it's their way of killing the boredom in staying at home.
And that's all for today's entry of the #MarketFriday, I hope you will enjoy the photos even if those were just taken by my very cheap phone 😅.
Have a great weekend and God bless everyone!
