Greetings everyone,
The other day I made my way downtown after my shift again to purchase something then suddenly I bump into this very attractive fruit stand which make me look for something to buy. This fruit stand also sells different flavors of juices with natural fruits ingredients that range from ₱ 10,20 and 30($.18,.36 to .55)per cup.
rambutan
- At first glance, I was attracted to one of my favorite exotic hairy fruit the rambutan but then I look it closely it seems like they are not yet ripe enough so decided to look for something else to buy.
lychee
- Then I saw this unusual fruit. Thinking back to when I use to work in refreshment stall I used to prepare fruit salad with canned lychee and to my curiosity I also want to try secretly how it taste but I always thought about what it tasted like when they are fresh. Now finally I got the chance to see and taste the exact fruit. Since it’s pricey and I don’t know how I would’ve liked it personally so I just bought 250 grams for ₱40($.73) to try.
Here’s another fruit we have these days.
mangosteen
- This is also considered a seasonal fruit and I also included this at the top list of my favorite fruit because of its delicious taste and its healthy benefits.
grapes
- They also sell these seedless grapes for ₱35 ($.64)for 250 grams. I just noticed the assurance in their tag stated that it’s “very sweet” if just seen it earlier maybe I’ve bought some as well.
marang
- This spiky seasonal fruit is marang as I heard vendors sold it from ₱80 - 100 ($1.46-1.82) depending on its size.
dragon fruit(left) and pears
Among those seasonal fruits, I mentioned there are so much more fruit choices like avocadoapples, oranges, watermelon, and bananas. But I choose to buy lychee just to answer my curiosity and mangosteens which I see seldom. I bought 250 grams of lychees which costs me ₱40 ($.73) and 500 grams of mangosteens which I paid ₱60($1.09)pesos and spend ₱100 ($1.82) in total for the fruits.
Here are some additional photos of the beautiful mangosteen fruits I bought. The taste was superb it was sweet with a little bit sour but just right for a perfect combination.
For lychee the taste is good but I don’t like it too much maybe it was just not so ripe and was stocked for a long time (there is something bitter between the meat and its seeds). But I was amazed by its skin. Its meat inside was so soft and now I understand why I’m delighted by the hole inside the canned fruit before and it’s because of these shiny smooth seeds inside.
That's all for me today guys. This will be my participation in #MarketFriday, initiated by . Thanks for dropping by. I hope you all have a wonderful day😉.
