Last evening we visited the Winter Market organized at one of the Parks in the City. These days over the weekend there are some or the other events happening in the City. It will continue till end of Feb probably, unless this Covid thing does not again halt things in the City, which would be very disappointing for many small time vendors who make an earning from these local market set ups.

Yesterday's market was more focused around Christmas celebrations but sadly the turn out was not very great as they had anticipated. It could also be because it was a working day. It's going to be for 3 days ending on Saturday. I wanted to visit as normally I enjoy these kind of local markets as they have all home made organic stuff at sale. I did not end up buying anything though, because I found it over priced compared to previous market prices.

As I entered this one was at the beginning. A lady makes it and sells these Christmas decors. I loved the ones with the Candles, very finely made.

The other attractive one I found is this one. The Reisen art pieces. It is in fashion these days. I loved some of the pieces, but again way too expensive. My problem is that I do not wish to spend money buying very expensive things at this point of time here in Muscat, because in a maximum of 2 years time we plan to return back to India permanently and then I will not be able to take all of these things with me. So it would not be very wise for me to spend money on these things right now.

These knitted bags and holders are very neatly made. There were variety of other items as well like the runners for the table, dining mats and coasters. Though they are very neatly made, not my choice to have it in my home decor.

The Himalayan Salt lamps, I love to have them in my home space. I already have 2 of them at my home right now so again not a buy for me this time.

There are some commercial stalls also where the items are not home made but they are brought from the market and sold here, like these children toys and clothes and shoes.

These days I have become a little conservative on my spendings as I am working towards my new home project but nevertheless fun does not always come with money so even though I did not buy anything I did have a good time spending my time at the fair.
